If you are unaware of the outrageous lies and disinformation being put out by the Berkeley City Council and people from the tobacco-control and anti-tobacco groups, please familiarize yourself with the following so the rest of this post will make more sense to you.

http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_...will_make_your_blood_pressure_rise_and_blood/

I’m putting out the call again to all vapers and vendors in and near Berkeley to join us on September 9th (7pm) to face this incredibly hostile stronghold of ignorance in an attempt to educate them and set the record straight.

Keep in mind, our opponents, which are the people who require you to quit smoking their way (or die!) and are financially dependent on the money generated from tobacco sales, are calling upon their members and supporters as well (like they did for El Cerrito, for example). They will likely be telling stories again about how they got stick just standing near someone who vaped hours before but still had the vapor “on them”.

So this is your chance to show that you’re one of those vapers who doesn't fear facing a hostile city council with a bunch of even more hostile "public health" and "tobacco control" types. This is your chance to stand up for yourself and your fellow vapers along with you. This is also your last chance when it comes to Berkeley because there are not likely going to be any further readings of the proposed ordinance. We are going through lengths to ensure we'll be there, the day after we return from ECC. The least you can do is, do the same and not disappoint me and your fellow vapers.

Join us and let this city council know why they’re wrong. This will be the last chance to tackle the ordinance or parts thereof. It will be a lost battle if we don’t have a strong united voice and a decent number of people. After all, this is Berkeley.

If you’re in or around Berkeley and able to join us and stand up for yourself and others, PM me so I can get a little list going and prepare for our arguments and talking points. Imagine what can happen if we fill the council chambers and get a minute each to address their ignorance...

Don't let them walk all over you. Do nothing now. Have nothing later. Get the laws you deserve and waive the right to complain if you don't like them.

There is no reasoning with loons. What ever came of this?

Nothing much other than two very lengthy blog posts with hopefully some re-usable material for everyone else and a few videos I had to painstakingly capture from the player on their website. Oh, well, that and lots of fury about how not a single vaper in the affected area showed up after repeated calls to join us. Well, you can read it all here...

Stan Glantz has a TWENTY MILLION dollar grant? Something tells me none of that money is coming from people who actually think they're investing in science.

Oh, indeed he does. I thought that was public knowledge.... check check... yes, that is public knowledge. :)

And it's a FEDERAL GRANT, no less. $20M for their "Tobacco Regulatory Sciences".
