Hi

As the title says... enough is enough... I dropped my tobacco addiction and replaced it with vaping... Nahh. Not vaping... shopping! Thats right! I'm a damm shoppaholic now. I just can't stop buying stuff. I have enough material and liquid to get through 2014 without needing any more material so please, if you see another order of mine please ignore it, I have a disease

Am I the only one around? Jeez... this is killing my wallet!

Sorry to let off a little steam :)

Regards
Tony

PS: Can't write more, I have to complete an order I'm making for some extra dual coil atomizers. Be right back

Sure... we are "just" preparing ourselfs... thats why I still have a bunch of CE cartos at home... I loved them when they came out, bought a dozen of them but after a few weeks CEV2 hit the stores so... you get the point... Why stock up dual coils now when in two or three months we're going to have "tricoils" or another completely different system or a protank 4 without backward compatibility? Its just insane... we know it and we still stock up like crazy.

For instance, I'm looking right now for a mini airflow valve for my mini protank 3 BUT in the meanwhile, I already discovered that its use is limited because on my mini aerotank I can't can just close the valve until I have the draw I want without risking it starting to gurgle (which is obvious with a too tight draw) but I still find myself looking around EU stores hoping that someone will have them in stock when in fact, I don't want one anymore?!? Hello?!? Am I insane???

Regards
Tony

PS: I love my mini aerotank dripping tip... I like its format better than that of the protank's tip... any idea where I can buy a aerotank tip? :)

Hahahahahaha!!!!

Well, you know, it is a virus. A worldwide epidemic. YAAAAH!!!!
In Germany, we call it HWV = Haben-Will-Virus = Wanna-have-virus.
In the States, you call it Shiny Acquisition Syndrome or Shinyitis.

It is everywhere. And there is no getting away from it ;)
So you might as well save the 185.00 USD per 45 minute session on counselling and invest the money in a nice new mod :D

There is no escape! :D

On the other hand, as choochoo has correctly pointed out, we are investing in our future. So what are a few dollars if they are wisely invested in our future, eh? ;)

.. and if you think you are bad, heck, I bought two beautiful drip tips all the way from the States.... hehe.... Uhm, I mean, I made a wise investment in my future, of course

Uh... you don't want to be caught of guard in case the FDA or EU decides that dripping tips are ilegal to buy or own... hihihi. :)

Schön das man hier ab und zu auch ein paar Deutsche sieht. Die Internet is wirklich global geworden ;)

So... where can I buy an aerotank tip? :D

LOL! I say something like this to mine as well. Told him that the government was about to tax everything into oblivion, so we NEEDED Provaris for the removable batteries, durability, and repairability. Then, we NEEDED rebuildable tanks and drippers so we no longer had to buy coils and cartos meant exclusively for vaping and therefore avoid spending that money. Then, we NEEDED mechanicals, because what if Provape goes out of business, and can't repair our Provaris (Provarrii?). However, we've now reached the point where we really don't NEED any more equipment. He has a mech mod, I have two. He has a Provari and I have two. We both have several Kayfun style tanks and a dripper for each. That excuse will not work for much longer save for juice.

Why not ask jpargana? He is from Portugal, he may know.

That excuse will not work for much longer save for juice.

Well, you know.. there are countless possibilities :D
You do not want to know how many flavorings I have in my witch's kitchen box.. uhm.. my stainless steel case for my flavorings.

My problem isn't so much shinyitis.

It's Juice flavor buying. I must have 40 or 50 different juice flavors here. And truthfully about 20 yet to try!!

It's the 6 pack sample deal!

If I don't buy (or win) any more juice, I probably have enough to get me to July of 2015.

    "But honey, I'm not smoking!!!"

Let's hope this line just keeps on working!!

<------Please see my Join Date. I'm still "discovering", "testing", "Ooooo, pretty!" Four packages arrived yesterday! I'm looking for another cabinet to put my coffee in so all my new juices can keep each other company!

And yes, I'm well familiar with GAS. Same term used for guitars/amps/pedals. A few years ago I lived a block from a well-run vintage guitar shop. I finally had to institute a 24 Hr. Cooling Off Period before deciding to buy something.

I need to remember that. But, I'm old so I'll probably forget.

If you think this is bad, you should see how bad it can get with tea. A single yixing teapot or beeng (cake) of puerh (an aged tea) can easily run in the thousands, and there are people in China and Taiwan (moreso Taiwan) with environmentally controlled warehouses full (similar to cigar humidors, though HK and TW are very humid to begin with). It's not uncommon, even in the west, to have a walk-in closet full teapots that start in the hundreds of dollars, and tea that won't be ready to drink for 20-30 years -- and that's only if it ages well and nothing goes wrong (to be fair, the tea used to be a lot cheaper just 5-10 years ago).

In these situations where I start to go overboard, I try to stop and consider what it is that I get out of it, and what's required to fulfill that. It's a little harder with tea, because once you find something good you may only have one chance to get it before it disappears forever. With vaping, however, it's just exploring flavors; I'll get relatively small amounts and determine my needs by how much I actually use -- there will always be the ones (both in tea and liquid) that I think that I really like, but that I almost never use. I also recognize that my tastes will change over time. But when it comes down to it, my iTazte and Vision Spinner are perfectly suitable to deliver what I want/need. I will probably get a nicer mod down the road, but as much as I've wanted a bigger mod (like a box mod), I actually need something that can be easily tucked in a pocket since I'm bus-bound.

Lastly, I also came to realize that things stop being special when you have too many. You'll get more enjoyment from that one mod you really want when you don't have 10 others that are just as nice. Often we'll see some review of someone getting tremendous pleasure from that one thing and want to experience that joy, but there will be reviews like that for just about everything (at least everything above a certain threshold of quality); I've mostly stopped paying attention to positive reviews of liquid, because every liquid I'm interested in has a review under it that proclaims it to be The One.

It doesn't always work, and I don't always stop to think, but it can help to reassess priorities.
