Some points that you need to consider ...

Battery life is measured in millamperes per hour (MAH). An hour of vaping is considered to consume about 100MA from a battery, so a 280mah battery will last you just under 3 hours on the average, then you have to switch and put the dead one one a charger. If you buy something like an eGo Spinner, you can get 1300mah batteries that will last you virtually all day. The price isn't that much more. You can also pick from most of the tanks and atomizers on the market and feel certain that your battery will support it.

We all start with the idea that our ecig needs to be the size of our tobacco cigarette. Most, if not all change to something with better battery life. The original ecig becomes a backup to the one we end up buying and that's a good thing. We all need backups if our primary fails.

The average vapor goes through 3ml to 5ml a day, so a 15ml bottle will last up to 5 days, longer if you vape conservatively.

Just some things to consider before you buy.

I honestly did not buy the 510-t with the idea that it should be the size of a cigarette. I bought it because of the tank system, and the supposed simplicity of the device, just fill and vape, and a simple cleaning of the atomizer with a tissue. Depending on how the smaller battery holds up for me when I get the device and start using it will determine if I want to buy the bigger battery.

Also when you say an hour of vaping, I'm assuming that means only when you press the button and inhale vapor, and not any downtime time inbetween. Seeing as how I will not be sitting down and doing nothing but vaping back to back for an hour, an hour of vaping could hypothetically last me a whole day.

However you address valid and good points, I appreciate the input.

I have a feeling I'm going to be completely satisfied with this Joye 510-t system so I'll see how it goes. The only thing I might change would be upgrade to the bigger battery. However I have the Protank in mind for a backup.

All I can say is you won't know until you try it. If you only smoke 5 cigs a day, I don't see any need for a bigger battery for you, other than convenience. However, if you go with a spinner or any other vv battery, that opens up a complete new world of posibilities and fine tunning, and I can almost garantee you that you will vape more that you smoke, after all, vaping is delicious!

Keep in mind that there is also no requirement to go big or upgrade, it's an available option if you feel that it suits your needs or you are not satisfied with your current setup. Take it slow and enjoy the ride! It's a fun one that also happens to have health benefits over smoking.:2cool:

Actually, no. When people talk about hours of vaping, they are speaking of how many linear hours of time using a standard 2.5 ohm coil before they have to change batteries. "100mah = an hour of vaping " is the generally accepted time that you can vape here and there before the battery dies.

Lots of us use 2000mah 18650 batteries to get an all day vape. Some of us vape frequently and some vape much less. A 2000mah battery can last a heavy vaper all day and an infrequent vaper well into the next day. The standard is someone who smoked a pack, maybe two packs a day.

I am actually considering returning the Joye-510 and buying a Protank3 coupled with an evod VV. Is there really a difference in flavor between the regular atomizer and a clearomizer?

If I were you, I'd buy an Aspire BDC tank either in the mini CE5 or the larger size. Flavor is better with the cotton wicking and you will like it better than a Protank. Heads will last you longer by a long shot. It's easy to get a week or more out of an Aspire head as compared to a couple of days, maybe 3 or 4 out of a Kanger. Both are easy to fill.
