To all you MVP2 owners, do you have any COMPLAINTS about it? I've read all the posts glorifying it, but I'm looking for any issues you have with them. My local shop just put it on sale for $50 with 2 EVOD tips, and a free 10Ml bottle of juice. To me, this sounds like a hell of a deal, but I'm wanting to know your experiences with it.

Thanks!

Hmmm... how about that it doesn't recharge itself automatically when I forget?

Seriously, it's a great device and that price, for a B&M, is a hella good deal. Go for it. You know you want to. Go on. Cast out whatever lingering doubt there is in the recesses of your mind. It's practically yours already. Heck, not buying it would be an insult to all vapekind.

Yes...There are issues with them.

1. The Ego Cone threading is rather long, and the 510 well is deeper than some mods, so people have issues firing certain devices on them. I found that a lot of Evod's had trouble because the threads on the Ego collar on the Evod tend to bottom out before the post on the battery makes contact with the head. There are several work arounds to this. Mini PT 2's don't have this problem and most true 510 clearos don't. Also you can pull the bottom post on the head of your Evod a mm or so down and fix it. Some enterprising vapers have even pulled their heads a little bit and wrapped thread around it to prevent the Evod head post from getting pushed back up. Several of us have written to Innokin to fix this, and hopefully they will respond with either an adjustable middle pin, or a shallower connector.

2. The button press is a bit firm. This has been rectified to some extent, but it still does require a bit more effort. On the plus side, this tends to prevent accidental firing. on the minus side, you may have to adjust your grip. I use the side of my thumb to press the button and don't notice it anymore. Either my thumb got "pumped up" or the button has loosened. I don't know which, but I don't notice it.

3. You need to take care not to set your MVP on a table with standing liquid on it. The USB ports are exposed and on the bottom of the device. I make sure to set mine down on a dry surface or set it on it's side.

4. Being a new device, (less than a year old) there are no real life numbers yet on how long the unit will last. Based on typical LiIon charging rates, and the fact that the battery can last for at least 2 days between charges you SHOULD get at least 2 years out of it, but there are no real numbers out. There are many MVP1's which are alive and kicking. The biggest knock on those was the button which would fail prematurely. The new button on the MVP 2 may last longer.

5. Like any "non removable battery" device, the unit will eventually die. This is a deal breaker for a lot of people. But if you are looking at 45.00 a year. I take care of my gear and fully expect it to last longer than this.

The MVP overall is one "heck" of a package. It offers very high performance at a very reasonable price point. It's high capacity battery insures that most vapers can coax more than 2 days out of it before needing to charge, and the built in micro USB connector makes charging a breeze. It also allows you to vape while charging. It is a very solid unit that looks and feels like it will last quite some time.

Of course time will tell, but then again at $50.00 you're not taking a huge gamble.

Oh, you... +10 for convincing me. I'm going tomorrow. Still looking for ANY issues with it!!

I'm not gonna be much help on the negative's. Mine's three months old and is a workhorse. I've not had problems yet concerning 510/ego threaded device's yet. It just work's flawlessly, I really love it. Along with Sigelei's, a Provari, the MVP2 gets used equally. If mine ever fails, I'll replace it immediately! Get one...I think you'll love it.

I'll put it this way: I paid $75 in a brick and mortar and I absolutely feel like I got a great value.

The only two negatives I can think of are the slight button rattle from the VV/VW buttons (which I only noticed because I drive a manual transmission, so my right hand is often on this shifter with the MVP in hand) and for me I would like it to go above 11 watts. It's really not necessary for everyday vaping though, because most of what I use fits in the protank II/iClear 30s/iClear 16/cartotank region. If I really want to run my RDA at 1.1 gigawatts I'll go with a mechanical mod.

Conclusion: for the money, ABSOLUTELY worth it. I think it's one of the highest value pieces of gear on the market today, and if you can get that sweet of a deal for 50 bones in a B&M, I wouldn't think twice. And, yes, the battery life really is as phenomenal as everyone says it is (in my experience and many others, of course YMMV).

I don't know if the 510 connector issue others mentioned could be a slight inconsistency from unit-to-unit, but I've personally never had an issue and I routinely swap between my iClear 16, iClear 30s, Kanger ProTank II, VapeOnly BCC Mega, and my IGO-W. I have never had any compatibility issues out of those 5 devices for sure.

Two issues for me;

- 510 well is too deep for a few of my devices

- 11 watt power limit. 15 would push my RSST more to my liking.

Other than that, its a great piece of equipment.

I have to agree with that. The variable wattage max is a bit low at 11 watts. This may be problematic for some dual coil or low ohm users. Dual coil atty's usually run "cooler" at a given wattage because the load is spread over two coils in parallel.

I was going to say that you can coax more watts out by going to a 1.5 to 1.8 ohm coil and choosing variable voltage mode. However, after reviewing Pbusardo's review shows that his numbers don't match what I was saying. It appears the unit will limit you to 11 watts even in Variable voltage mode where a 1.5 ohm coil will only fire at 3.9 volts.

So it appears that 11 watts is a hard limit regardless of what mode you are in.

My Bad....

I agree with Rancor, I read/heard about the stiff button prior to purchasing the MVP2, but I have not had a problem with it. I actually like the slightly stiffer button, as I usually put the MVP2 in my jacket inner pocket when I'm not using it and I feel a little better about it not accidentally being pressed. While my other devices I worry about it a little more, but haven't had a problem with those either. I also like the fact that I can stand the MVP2 on my desk and it feels more stable than my ego style devices. Plus the weight of the MVP2 doesn't make it as top heavy either. It's probably the most used, with the VV next, and the eGo-V v3 third. But I do like all three, it just depends on the situation. I've only had the MVP for a couple of months, but if it died tomorrow, I would be purchasing a new one without hesitation.

I love mine, i have both the mvp2 & itaste vv 3.0 both are great. I am one of the few who dented their thumbs pushing the darn button though. I think it must range device from device. My button was ridiculousy hard to push but it has broken in & my thumb isn't as sore.

I've used a number of different devices and haven't had a connection problem yet.

You'll be happy when you get home today! Ooh & I luv I can charge my phone with it in a bind!

This is everything I have ever heard as far as negatives. Well said! For me, the center pin/connection issue is the only real complaint I have. For the money, I think it's a great deal.

ETA I have a couple of airflow controllers attached to mine, and I'll never have to worry about the pin issue again. :)
