To eVic or not to eVic?

So I've been thinking about an eVic, but what keeps me away from it is its size (although I know I can get it a smaller tube and a smaller battery) and the fact that I can't put it into a lanyard.
I'm on the road most of the time and battery life is likely the most important aspect, providing the device functions properly otherwise, and don't want no-vape surprises. It's one of the key reasons I like the eVic.

I recently had a inside jacket pocket slotted and snap-buttoned by a local on-the-fly tailor for $15 so nothing ever falls out, and it's right there nicely compartmented and quickly pulled out to take a vape. On 3-day weekend trips it carries 2 eVics, 1 spare battery and 9 clearos and I'm all set for the duration.

I use mostly Kanger T3, CE3 (all sizes) onto several vv batteries. Thanks to the PCC and a Kgo vv passthrough I vape most of the day without worries. I've had these batteries for 4 months now, and I know some will start dying on me soon. So I've been thinking about an eVic, but what keeps me away from it is its size (although I know I can get it a smaller tube and a smaller battery) and the fact that I can't put it into a lanyard. I want a true VW automatically set (That's why I'm not considering a Vamo) and being able to use the T3 without an adapter (there's a video from Sun Vapers about getting a grommet in for better contact)... Is it so great the vape with VW that would make the enormous difference?

A short answer to your question is no. VW is not going to improve your vape and justify the price. Really it is up to you to decide if you "want" a VW device or not. From your description of what you use, a simple twist would be fine. But if you "want" the extras you get from an evic then it would be worth the price. I vape around 5-6ml a day and a fully charged 2600 mah battery that comes with the evic will last me about 2 days if i'm using it exclusively. I have not had a problem getting kangers to work on my evic either. The only reason I do not use my evic more is because of the low 2.2 amp limit but from the sounds of it that would not be an issue for you.

Thanks! This is exactly what I meant. With 3 vv eGo and the 1.8 ohm heads I use I think I'll stay on eGos at least for the time being. Who knows, maybe a mini eVic comes out in the next months!!!

I really like the eVic so far myself. If you're using regular egos it is a big jump in size! Below is a picture of some sizes I found in my drawer of ecig stuff, might help you. If you're carring around a lot of stuff it might be easier to just carry one bigger device than lots of little things around. That's why I started getting into the bigger devices myself. Just replacing the battery inside is cheaper in the long run too than buying new devices.

If you vape the same ohm atties all the time then it won't really do much for you. I have a variaty of 1.5-2.2 ohm vivi novas I use randomly so VW means I don't have to change any settings at all each time I switch. I'd never go back from VW now either because of the ease of switching. I used to carry the provari mini around all the time and I have like 7 of the batteries from that still for the eVic mini. They don't really last me long and I think some of them are on there last leg too. I get a few hours out of each one, but I vape a lot too. The regualar eVic battery lasts me almost 2 days though so for me it's worth the extra size. Not to mention it shows the battery level right on the screen so you know how long you have left on it. I'm really REALLY loving that I can just see the battery level right on it! No more guessing or trying to remember when I switched the battery last time was. You can use the eVic as a passthrough too btw.

The new 1.2 firmware added more stuff you can tinker with too. Like programing how your vape goes threw it's vape time. Like I set mine to 11 watts for .5 secs to heat it up fast and then down to 8.5 watts for 4 secs and quickly ramp down after that. I'm enjoying that little feature a lot more than I figured I would. Time will tell how it holds up but I've always had good luck with joyetech stuff so I'm pretty confident it'll last. Not to mention I can't wait to see what they add to it next.

Ego Twist 1000mah(I think), ego-t mod mini tube, normal eVic with a viv nova on it, provari mini, vmax

It amuses me to no end that I can check the time on my ecig too. ROFL

Now you can program the wattage though the vape? That's great! Yes, it's about three times biger than a regular ego... The small tube could be my on the go vape, it's a more natural size for my hands.

There are some places that sell the head separately, so you could buy the head and a 18350 tube only.
