And...for a little shorter reply. Go where vaping leads you. Nobody is right - and nobody is wrong. If you are happy with a $5.00 little e-cig, or an expensive mod - so be it. It isn't HOW you do it - it's THAT you do it. vaping is all opinion - there are no rights or wrongs. Find where YOU are happy - experiment - have FUN - and...don't smoke ciggys :) All of us will likely be here for you - we're a pretty friendly bunch. All that is important is that you vape HOWEVER you want to - and it works for YOU. Nobody else has to approve - at all.

THAT ^^^ is basically Lorrie's opinion when we discuss! shes like..why?! why add something into the mix? one more than that can fail? she likes her atties around .6 ohm s ( thats what I've been vaping as well) in her KFL's ..and if performance drops...time to change batteries!

Guess it depends on how you vape and what you are looking for. Are you looking for peak vape - and having to change batteries - or, damn good vape and vape until the battery says it's done?
Everyone has what they want out of vaping. Some - start with the little e-cigs and never move on, and they are happy. Others, move to rebuild-able attys and such, and are always looking for the "perfect" vape (which I have never found - and I probably have more vape gear than Lorrie!) Hell, one of my co-workers - I got him a Nemesis clone and a nautilus - and he was into rebuilding and such - and now that's all he uses (because it's a hell of a vape)
I just bought a mod that will do almost 80 watts - I'll never need it - I rarely go over 15 and I blow happy clouds (not crazy clouds - why would I need to?). I can TASTE my juice. Juice flavor changes with power - ALL juices have a sweet spot - and I can tell you that their sweet spot is NOT 30 watts (with the exception of some properly built and fed RDA). IMO, most juices have a sweet spot of 8 to 12 watts - that's it - that is where they have FLAVOR.
I used to chase wattage - more power - more...whatever - genesis atomizer, cable wick, etc - and it is still terrific for some juices (Bobbas Bounty!) - but, most, especially fruit or light flavors - microcoil on cotton is amazing - and that's low wattage stuff.

Great advice! I'm currently using a Super T simplicity 18500 with a Kayfun lite + v.2 with my coil built at .61, wicked with cotton and the flavor and cape is excellent.. Starts off a little heavy...but mellows nicely after a little time....that's what got me to think that maybe a kick would allow me to dial in sweet spot every time... Not just at specific periods of my vape.

Starts a little heavy and mellows over time - that's battery voltage drop.
At .61 - a kick can handle that - but - a kick 2 can only do 15 watts. Brand new battery at .61 is just shy of...29 watts.
Seems you like a strong vape - I run my kayfuns at around 1.4 ohms and get a great vape. In fact, I have found that my particular juices will burn or lose flavor when pushed too far.

15 watts on a brand new battery would be roughly 1.2 ohm load.
You say that it starts strong then mellows - so - let's say that battery voltage is 4V when it mellows - that's still 26 watts.
Kick won't work for you at this point - it's 15 watts and down. Possibly try a build at say, 1.2 to 1.3 ohms and see what you think of it - and if it is good - then the kick 2 will work.

I'm gonna try some different builds this weekend... Try some higher resistance and see if I still get the flavor and warmth I like.

I upped my resistance slightly ( .74)...and barely a made an difference. I'm also gonna experiment with wire gauge.. I'm currently using 24g..gonna build some coils with 28 as well

Vaping is a very individual thing. I never said I was right. I never said other's were wrong. I am not claiming to be an expert on anything. I attempted to give you a good starting point. Where you take it, is up to you.

You're right on the money... what one person loves in a vape, another may loath! Lol....luckily for me your starting point for me is awesomeness X awesome! Lol..

I'm gonna try a bunch of weird stuff this weekend... Including a chimneys build...

Also curious to see if same ohms built with different gauge wire will affect flavor....
