Hi all! :) I can't decide to get a mod or something like an ego. The biggest part of me wants to get a Reo Grand because of the quality and because of the convenience of a 6ml bottle so I only have to fill it with ejuice once a day. Also because I plan to pick one tobacco flavor and stick with it so the large bottle will be great. Here is where the problem comes in! I am convinced that I want to duplicate the smoking experience as much as possible, but maybe it will turn into something different entirely. Maybe I will get into different flavors. I don't think I will but there are so many ex-smokers on here that love trying and enjoying different flavors that I have to consider that I will feel that way too. If that is the case I don't know if a Reo Grand would be the best idea because I may not need a 6ml bottle but may just want to use cartomizers and change them throughout the day. I really don't know how I'm going to feel so I don't know what I should buy. I am afraid of buying one and then finding out I want to use the other and then have to buy that and waste money. If I do stick with one tobacco flavor I will regret it if I get an ego that I have to fill cartos for throughout the day. Is it possible to use a Reo Grand with no ejuice in the bottle and just use a filled carto on top of it? I'm counting on your help guys! :)

I don't think there's a way to predict what type of vapor we're going to be. We all probably smoked one brand of cigarette, yet many of us love tons of flavors of juice and mix them all day long.

My Mother vapes one juice and only one juice, she's a perfect candidate for a Reo, although I'm not telling her that! I could actually do that, but I do like 2-3.

I've never heard of anyone that has one not liking a Reo, but I'm sure one of the Reo owners will chime in.

I wish I could help you more. I'm getting my first mod in myself this coming week. I'm sure more help will come soon!

Many people will get caught up in different flavorings. It really helps some people keep their mind off the smokes being so preoccupied , plus it really is fun. More fun then you ever had lighting up an analog. I'm sure you've read that tobacco can be a hard flavor to get right. You might want to consider sample sizes of different tobaccos to find which one really works for you before getting a big bottle.

Have you ever tried a PV before? If not being in Cali there may be a storefront someplace where you can go to, at least see if you like the feel of vaping before committing to a mod. They can get expensive. However, if money isn't an issue for you I say screw it, go mod crazy! & don't forget extra batteries

i'd be worried about dropping the reo all the time, so i'd have to get another device to carry around, don't see the point of having seperate devices for seperate occasionas. its all or nothing for me.

i prefer cartomizers myself, since i swap around a number of flavors throughout the day. i top them off at night. i use the 1.6ml dual coil ones.

I would encourage experimentation. It doesn't have to costs a lot of money either. There are very inexpensive VV mods now and cartos are extremely cheap. I have found that finding a combination that is "just right" can help with many things. With the right hardware you can more easily banish cigarettes forever, you may be able to lower you nic level or use the PV less because you are so happy with the performance.

All the best!

Mrtrucker40108 & swedishfish - I know what you mean about defeating the purpose of getting a Reo but the reason I asked that was because then I wouldn't be making a mistake if I bought it since I would be able to use it with the 6ml bottle if I stuck with one ejuice and then it would also work if I ended up liking trying and switching different ejuices. (I don't know what I'll like to do yet.)
Are there any ecigs besides mods that offer an all day battery?

swedishfish - Thank you for the idea about buying a cheap pv or a pass-through to test juices!

koline - I didn't buy an ecig yet, I'm still trying to figure out what would be best for me to buy! :)

No reason to worry about dropping a REO. The standard REO (Mini or Grand) is nearly bullet proof aircraft aluminum. The forum is full of stories from people who have terribly abused their REOs, and the REOs survived very well. :)

swedishfish - That's so funny that you're not telling your mom she's a perfect candidate for a Reo! :) She sounds like a cool lady!

frosting - Hi! Congratulations on getting your first mod! I totally agree with you that looking at all the different flavors that different stores have and picking out the ones you want to try is great fun and also as you said, keeps my mind off the cigs! It's so hard for me to imagine enjoying different flavors when I associate smoking with tobacco flavor, but I really think I may be pleasently surprised to like switching flavors since so many do! They can't all be wrong about it being great! :) I am doing what you said in buying several small bottles of different tobacco flavors to try and see which one I like the best. I've never tried a pv before so that was a good idea about seeing if I could try one. Money is of concern, but I'm willing to spend the money if it can get me something that will last for a long time and that can replace my cancer sticks! An investment in LIFE! :) I told swedishfish that I am considering now getting a cheap pv first so I can figure out whether I would actually be better off getting a mod or ecig. **I love your username and avatar! Cupcakes, and especially the frosting , are my favorite treat! :)

araczynski - Thank you so much for your input and telling me what you do!

throatkick - Thank you for your advice! I agree that the right hardware would make a big difference in kicking the nasty habit forever. I'm thinking of starting with a cheap pv to start so I can figure out what I really like and need before a big purchase. The only thing i worry about is that if I start with a cheap pv, will it keep the flavors from being their best and stop me from enjoying vaping altogether! i wouldn't want that to happen!

mlinky - Hi! I'm glad you love your Reos! it's extremely rare that I hear something negative about them, which is why I'm so interested. You're right, it's easy to change the bottle! :) I haven't had my first vaping experience yet!

swedishfish - Since I never vaped before, all of my plans are just my best guess until I try it, but I want to and plan to vape more than I smoke analogs so I will be using only 6 mg nicotine level as opposed to the 24mg of the cigarettes I smoke now because I don't want to vape more nicotine into my system than I already am now by smoking analogs! **Thank you for your advice to listen to mlinky!

Retriever - I think Reos are a great investment too!

*Leaning towards getting a Reo! lol

From what I have heard, a Reo is a great investment. I also believe (but am not sure) that you can drip a few drops of another liquid into the juice well and "test" out different flavors with a Reo. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

That's how its done with a carto. If you use attys, like me, you can just drip like normal. If the 6ml bottle is too much, you could always start with a mini and get the grand later if you like it.

stephen1979 - Thank you for confirming Retriever's post! I don't understand though what it means that you can drip a few drops of another liquid into the juice well to try out different flavors with a Reo. Do you do this without a cartomizer on top? Can you please explain this if you have the time? I don't know what a juice well is.

You don't have to stick to just one flavor with the Reo. Get some extra bottles and atomizers or cartomizers. It's simple to swap out flavors. Unscrew the juice your using from the unit, remove the atomizer or cartomizer, hold the tubing out and away from the mod (do this outside if you can or point it towards a paper towel, blow into the atomizer connector to remove the remaining juice, screw on another flavor, add a new atomizer or cartomizer. Takes about 2 minutes to do.
