QUOTE: I caught this post late, but I am definitely going to respond to this.

It is Val and myself who respond to customer emails day in and day out. It is Val and myself who let Leaford, Mark and Steve know what products are giving us problems.

It isn't you Addy.

Please, even if you are trying to help, let us do our jobs. When a company like this packages up hundreds of orders a week, and we get a PCC complaint once every few months?

Yes, that is isolated. While we take all concerns seriously, when I see a comment which simply begs for attention and has no merit, I will say something.

May I also refer you to a post I made the other day (and I paraphrase)

If your posts aren't to ask questions, help people, or to help foster any semblance of community, perhaps the post isn't worth being made.

To be honest, you really haven't been doing a good job of replying to anything I've been sending here recently, Ryan. I still haven't heard back on my refund for my PCC problems even after I spent $7 to send the garbage back to you guys.

I've since took my business to Hoog over at madvapes, but I'd still like my money back. I'm not happy about being ignored.

Sorry that you are not satisfied, however I do take umbrage to someone saying they are "ignored".

If you sent a PCC in for a replacement/refund, you'll get it. Sorry that things don't happen overnight, but they happen.

This return process didn't even begin until the beginning of June, based on when you posted.

I don't see anyone calling a credit card company complaining of the 3-4 days it takes for a credit to appear. That's not something we can control, but yet we take the heat for it.

Just saying.

Val and I go out of our way to help, even now, when I am not even working, to help and make sure people are vaping happy.

If posts happen on the forums, do I see them? A lot of times no. I can't troll through threads, but PM's and emails? Responded to 100 percent.

The reason I decided to do business with this company is because I had heard how well Steve and the crew take care of their customers and now I am a believer. You have a customer in me as long as I'm vaping, V4L!

I've since took my business to Hoog over at MadVapes, but I'd still like my money back. I'm not happy about being ignored.

Amazing the difference in only 10 days time.

Wow. Since the other post is closed now I am commenting here.

Addy is a freakin hero to many of us on this site and until you display a similar level of TECHNICAL understanding I would ask you not to put yourself in the same class as her when it comes to technical questions/concerns. V4L customer care support also SWORE there was no difference in the cinnamon roll vs premium cinnamon roll until the message board users started screaming blue murder en masse (Wow cinnamon roll is the same as orig though for those that miss the flavor). Even then there was no restitution the monstrosity was just quietly relabeled them 'mislabeled red hot candy'. You/V4L support do not have a very good track record IMO on responding honestly to potential issues until a critical mass has been reached and you are left no other choice.

Perhaps you haven't had loads of PCC troubles because those of us who bring up issues are shouted down and figure that it isn't worth the drama for a $20 piece of equipment. My PCC has been behaving very strangely since the new batteries came out. (ones with vaporking vapor4life on the back as well as V4L logo) Some charge, some do not. Some make the PCC very hot to the point where it would have burned if I continued holding it. None of the new ones show the proper blink/solid light codes that the old style batteries displayed.

I just figured that the PCC unit was designed for the old style generic batteries and that V4L has not invested the resources in redeveloping the PCC to accommodate their new style batteries just yet. My cousin just gave up after the 3rd PCC died within days and went back to analogs.

Telling Addy to bugger off has me seeing red. She may not always be right, but she at least INVESTIGATES the issue and retracts her statements when presented with evidence that goes against her hypothesis. Unless you post pics of your lab where you dismantle and study returned defectives and/or display real knowledge of circuit design and physics you will never have the level of credibility that Addy has attained.

My 2 cents. I am still a fairly happy customer, but I don't put stock in CC platitudes that go against my own personal experience.

Much <3 for Addy. I at least still appreciate you speaking up and do not want to see you muzzled.

Just to clarify, You realize that you're essentially saying 'even though she's not an employee, Don't tell her not to speak for the company', right?

No one questioned Addy's methods or testing, only that she is speaking for a company she doesn't work for.

Chill man, they'll refund you once they've received the items :)

USPS tracking says they got my items (TWO PCC's and TWO batteries that the same exact frying situation happened on BOTH) this past Monday. I put a note in with the stuff asking for a refund and I sent several e-mails to customer service, all of which were unanswered.

Amazing the difference in only 10 days time.

Amazing that the same thing happened to me twice too, right? And amazing how much of a 360 customer support took with handling my problems.

Born I am sorry about last night, I know that you were not working and still asked you to do something, but these people attacking you, thinking you Val Mark and Steve troll here is not true, you guy's come on look at the first page, read pm's and do what you guys have to do.

As for the OP this place is the best place to order any items. They have a great CS and the most friendliest people working for them. I hope you will come back. You HAVE to email them and/or call them, tell them in about 3 days AFTER you sent your item, that they should be expecting it today and that you would like a refund. I personally have delt with Mark Val and Born on some issues I have had. They will help you if you give them a PM or an email.

Heya, Ten' - thanks for the kind words! Bornagainst and I had a misunderstanding. Totally my fault. The way I expressed that was unclear, and he drew a conclusion that I didn't intend. He and I have worked it out in PM. I didn't respond back because I wanted to let it die in light of his and my PMs flying back and forth after the post. I probably should have addressed it here too, sorry!

I was dropping some inappropriate short-hand that was targeted for another engineering concern that I've offered some advice to currently and in the past, which is more officially involved in the battery technology with V4L. My involvement is peripheral...

Anywho, BA also was unaware of my involvement there.

Again - totally my fault, I just delivered a message poorly while trying to be oblique and not expose that engineering concern. It was also intended as a bookmark for me to revisit in more detail with them once I'd returned to the computer. It was one of those "aha!" moments that needed to be captured - I just picked the wrong venue for that. Sometimes my smartphone leads me to do dumbthings. ;)

I take full responsibility for the confusion. Mea Maxima Culpa.

Again - thanks for your caring and concern! I'll follow-up with you in PM later tonight once I get my feet back under me. (Spent the entire day 60ft up in the air on a boom with 40+mph winds... Still getting my "land-legs" back)

** Edit to add: And I do try to be honest about where I see the flaws to the best of my knowledge or experience. I'm not "shilling" for anyone. If it sucks, it sucks. If it rocks, it rocks. I value my scientific integrity above all else. If I call it bad too early, I'll go out of my way to make it "right" without damaging anyone. That said, I'm not without flaw and DO make mistakes. This time it was just a misunderstanding where I blew the medium I chose.
