Do what tastes right to you. I steep (or age) liquids only as much as I can't vape all my liquid at once, so until I get to it - it's steeping. I don't use any special methods anymore either.

I usually try any pre-mixed e-liquids straight out of the mailbox though, and if I notice a perfumy flavor or something that doesn't taste good, I might leave it opened up for a few days, giving it a shake every now and then. My DIY stuff, I usually let it sit for a few days and then start vaping it.

I used to obsess over steeping, burping bottles, sitting for hours shaking them, putting them in a ziploc and giving them baths and such, trying them again and again, seeing if the flavor had changed.

Now, not so much. I've had so few e-liquids that I tried and didn't like turn into something I did after steeping, that it's not really worth the worry.

Now I will say that letting a bottle sit for a few weeks will often bring out other flavors in the liquid and will sometimes change how it tastes a little.

So there you go, force-steep or don't. But by letting liquid sit, you are letting it steep to a certain point anyway.

Vaping is very much something that you can tailor to suit your personal taste.

When you get your eliquids, shake them up, take the caps off and smell them. If they smell good to you, put a small amount in your tank or carto and try them. If they taste good to you, continue vaping. If you think they need a little something, put them in a dark place like a drawer or cabinet (I use a toolbox). Shake them and check every week or so until you are happy with the result.

The main goal is for you to be happy with the taste. You can rely on the opinions of others for a general guideline, but in the end it all depends on how you perceive the taste.

Have fun. Please be sure to shake the bottle every time you fill or top off your tank or carto.

Fresh made juice I usually Steap with the cap off, and leave it in a cool, dry, dark place (Not The Refrgerator) . I put the cap on and shake the bottle once a day to mix the flavor. Some Juices are great from day 1, but some flavors will taste nasty real perfumy or strong artificial Sweetner flavor. In my experience Fruit flavors usually seem to need more time, ( Up to a month). All of the juice I've bought has been pretty unpredictable, and Vendor estimates can be pretty optimistic. Dont be alarmed if a flavor you loved from day 1, the next bottle you order from the same vendor ,same flavor ,needs to be steaped. I usually wait 2 weeks before sampling, but if something smells really yummy and I just can't wait to try it, I will test it in a small tank like an Ego. A lot of really tasty flavors get even better with time :)

If you store your juice in a cool, dry, dark place ( Not Refrigerator), it should stay good for about a year. I shake my extra stored bottles every few weeks to prevent the flavors from separating from the base. I've never heard of anyone getting food poisoning from their juice, but flavors and color can change in bad ways if they aren't stored properly. I guess if it tasted really terrible it could make you want to gag ? :)
