Yeah the garuda in the original bottle is a very light amber. In the 10ml mix it's clear looks and taste like vaping unflavored to me. The thing is I mixed it about a month back and tried it after about two weeks and got a little flavor, grassy to me , now almost nothing. Maybe I need to try a stronger mix. Pretty pleased with the VTA, wanting to get my hands on the Rustica. I vape unflavored quite a bit but seem to get something more when using ta.

It's not unheard of to get a bad or tainted bottle of flavoring from Inawera. I received a bottle of Dark tobacco, mixed batch at 3% and it tastes like there is cane mint in the flavoring.

I don't vape anything that has mint in it, so it's not like I had some weird flavor left over in my bottles that was transferred to the mix.

My recipe for preparing TA is

1ml TA to 9ml base (PG/VG/PGA) = 10% solution. Use that in your juice at 2 - 3 drops per 10ml of juice or if you want to convert those drops to percent. 1 drop is approx 1% so start at 1% and work up.

So, I got the very concentrated Nicotaina Rustica from Samara Botane. I then mixed some to the 10% solution as per your directions above. That was a week ago. I have warmed it up a bit and shaken the Heck out of the mix several times a day. The stuff seems to be staying in solution.

Question. Do I need to let the alcohol evaporate out of the Mix? I used Everclear @95% for the ethanol.

I'm going to try a small sample in a pg/vg base as a stand alone juice.

Thanks for your advice.

I'm guessing that, like most, you'll like Rustica better after it's steeped a few days at least. I'd say mix a small batch and test it, then test it along as it steeps. That way you'll know how it changes as it steeps and you'll automatically answer your own question.

It's not nessessary to evaporate the alcohol but if the taste of the alcohol puts you off then sure it's fine to do so. If you do then you'll want to cut back on the percentage used in your mixes as evaporating the alcohol will make the TA taste stronger.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, you're right, the result will be more concentrated, I will have to remember that and add to things with care.

Thx.
