Cracks me up how they're fear mongering water droplets in everything now, including the rinsing off of chicken before cooking it. Methinks it's a ruse to terrify the masses about popular types of exhaled vapors. Propaganda never ends.
The Ebola has too many cures &/or avoidances, between tobacco and PG vapor. No doubt plan B will be the old 1918 virus brought back to life... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/s...ecreate-deadly-spanish-flu-virus-9529707.html

Just sign me cynical.

today WHO essentially signed a blank cheque to allow all untested and unapproved Ebola medications to be used on people in Africa: http://www.bbc.com/news/health-28751623

What? After all the "concern" and hysteria over "lack of long term studies" and "we just don't know" the WHO gushed about ecigs in their position statement from TFI, now they wholeheartedly embrace the concept of harm reduction? And all that after only 1000 victims? What about the 2million they claim will die this year and every year thereafter from tobacco? Are 1000 Ebola victims more worthy of being given a chance to live than millions of smokers?

I was rather expecting WHO to classify zMapp as a tobacco product and raise some BS about gateways and children, not issue a blanket, sight unseen approval for human experimentation and demand it start ASAP.

That's because they don't need to worry about us, they've already cured smoking addiction! You can pick it up at the pharmacy for $60, and it comes in cherry flavor too! :w00t:

Y'know, they've been doing this "cherry flavor" thing for every medicine since Lydia Pinkham's I guess... and you know what? I LOATHE that taste. In the 1960s, docs already knew about the dangers of giving kids with viruses aspirin (Reye's syndrome) so every mom had to get *prescription* tylenol... and for kids taking liquid medicine... that may be the foulest tasting medicine on the planet, and forever ruined cherry flavor for me. Benadryl was the same, a complete insult to cherries everywhere. Bleah!

They can keep their asinine cherry flavor, and for $60 I could get a heck of a nice mod. :D

Same here! I can't stand cherry flavored anything anymore, not even if I pick them off the trees myself. Breaks my heart.

0o Sure this isnt a tin foil thread?

In any case, they're saying to stock up as if you can't go to the store for over 3 months. Meds, germ gloves, germ masks, tp, food, MRE, poker chips, first aid, batteries, and oh yes, lots and lots and lots of water.

There, that should cover the foil stuff. :D
Oh, wait, I wonder what the "z" in zMapp stands for?

All kidding aside, we do need to prepare for not only "town arrest" but "house arrest" during major quarantines.

I finally found something cherry-flavored I actually love... Mtn Dew Code Red! It's exactly like those "Shirley Temples" they used to get for me when I was a child, when we'd all go out for a nice dinner and the adults were enjoying cocktails beforehand.

I got some of Killer_Juice's Code Red, but at first taste, it wasn't very good. I've been letting it steep for about a week, figure in another week I'll give it another taste.

re: Ebola.... isn't everyone here so glad that CDC's liar Tom Frieden is taking control of things

Dallas Ebola patient vomited outside apartment on way to hospital

and...

Information was limited to repeating the narrative that Ebola could only be transmitted if you were in direct contact with blood or other bodily fluids with someone, according to the CDC guidelines, “who is very sick.” This meme was repeated over and over again by officials at the CDC and many in the mainstream media. Until it began to unravel.

The CDC’s Ebola happy talk, usually delivered by Director Tom Frieden, was finally exposed on CNN. Dr. Frieden was speaking with CNN’s Sanjay Gupta, also a physician, once again to reassure everyone that everything was A-OK. A news anchor asked the doctor to reassure viewers that Ebola wasn’t “highly contagious” so as to help the American people “back away from the panic.”

Dr. Frieden happily complied, “It’s not like the flu, not like the common cold, it requires direct physical contact.” Then the anchor chimes in and says, “If he sneezes on you, it’s a different story.” With that one statement, Dr. Frieden was compelled to admit existing CDC guidelines do warn simply standing within a three-foot radius of someone with Ebola poses a risk of infection.

If these reporters had not forced the discussion, Dr. Frieden would have stuck with his misleading description of the how the virus is communicated.

I read somewhere that the CDC said that there is no reason to believe anyone on the same plane as the ebola patient was exposed. Ha!

They're all over vaping like it's the latest plague, but when it comes to dealing with actual plagues they turn into bumbling idiots. :glare: Priorities people!

They never actually stopped being bumbling idiots -- A smart person can play like an idiot, and fool you, but a bumbling idiot cannot play like a smart person and fool anyone. It would be far more shocking if they'd actually done something RIGHT.
