Anybody ever tried it? I'm thinking securely wrapped up in a tea-bag, of course. It might be a good way of obtaining authentic tobacco taste.

I got the idea reading a thread about extracting tobacco from Snus pouches. And it got me to thinking, if those Snus pouches were just a little bit smaller, you could just stuff one in a cart. Hmmm, I wonder if there are small enough Snus pouches out there...

But if not, no matter, it shouldn't be hard to wrap some tobacco up in a tea bag. My problem is I don't have tea-bags and more significantly, being a recent quitter of analogs, I'm scared that I may eventually smoke any tobacco that might find it's way into the house. I think maybe my subconcious smoker is trying to find a sneaky excuse to obtain tobacco.

Anyone with tea bags and tobacco on hand feel like being a guinea pig for the sake of science?

Mini snus fit right into an 801 cart. There was talk about of a company making snus to fit into 510/901s too. Tropical Bob was at the forefront of all this. 'Tis a clever dude, he is.

I managed to stuff a full sized snus into an 801 cart as a trial. (don't try this at home <g>) The taste of that particular snus wasn't the greatest for me (Camel) but it sure as heck works. The only issue, other than that particular flavor being lousy for me, is that the flavor hangs a loooong time. But, in an e-pocalypse it's a great alternative.

I hear ya, btw. I could see myself *skipping a step* with a real analog. Instead of soaking and stuffing and vaping -- just light it. LOL

Actually a long history and a lot of discussion about this voltaire

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...new-super-mini-snus-new-video.html#post648277

And if you read the last several weeks discussion in this thread
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...e-getting-we-not-nicotine-146.html#post839893

you'll see extensive discussion on this topic.

-Those plooms look very interesting, I'd probably order one now if only they weren't "coming soon". (I hope they're not just vaporware, hah!) The price point on the device seems surprisingly low. (I bet they up it b4 actual launch) Guess they're going for the razor blade approach. I wonder how viable it is to refill the cartridges with your own tobacco/VG/PG mix. What's with the triple filtered butane? I hope you're not actually inhaling the burnt butane exhaust...

-I'd *really* like to get my hands on some of those super-mini Snus that could fit in a 510 cart.

-This is the first I've heard of Bickfords. I was going to order some Lorann's for DIY mixing, but now I think I'll try me some Bickfords.

-So, more on topic: Has anyone had any success with tobacco wrapped in tea bags for filler? I wonder if it wicks properly, and how it tastes.

Thanks for all input. My head is spinning from all the possibilities and options!

When I started with my only pv,a 510 in Aug, I had a carton of marlb hanging around. Still have 8 pks, which explains why I still smoke 2 or 3 a wk. I am always looking for a new mod, currently using ptb/w straw, blue foam/w straw and cart condon cap/w straw. I'm willing to try it.
So if I fashioned a small tobacfilled ptb pouch and used that, is that the idea? I'm just foolish enough to give it a go, any ideas on keeping such a pouch held together?

Well, I can envision a few methods. But I wasn't really thinking commercial cigarette tobacco, because it's going to have additives and other stuff that might leech through and gum up your atty. But if you laugh in the face at such trivial details, more power to ya!

-The first would be to roll the tobacco in the teabag like you would roll a cigarette, then fold over the ends. You'd have to eyeball it right to get it to be the right size for then easily stuffing it into the cart. It might help to cut a straw at about 15mm to have a visual aid.

-Or you could try a 40mm x 40mm square (<-guess) piece of teabag, and center it over the cart. Then use something to evenly poke the teabag into the cart. So that the teabag now lines the sides of the cart and you've got the edges of the teabag sticking out the end of the cart. Now poke tobacco (not too tight or too loose) into the teabag lined cart. Once filled, roll the protruding edges of the teabag between your fingers to close it up as best you can. Now pull out the whole thing and (try to?) stick it back in the other way, so that the end with the edges goes on the bottom and the sealed end on top. If reinserting it is too hard (it probably is), maybe don't pull it out at all but improvise a way to fold the edges in on themselves so that it seems secure. Or just trim excess teabag, add juice, cap with a plug, prime plug with juice.

-The really quick and *dirty* way would be to not put the tobacco in a teabag at all, but just stuff it down into the cart, add juice, then cap it with a plug, then prime. Just make sure the plug fits snuggly enough to not allow any tobacco around it. I'm thinking polyfill might be best here.

If you read all that and actually still feel like doing it, then may the force be with you! If anything bad should happen, we'll make sure you get an epitaph appropriate for such a bold pioneer. :D

Only problem that hits me right off the bat is... One of the main issues besides my health for quitting is the cost of cigarettes, nowadays. So, to go and purchase tobacco for this purpose kind of defeats the purpose of me quitting to begin with. I really have no problems adapting to the taste of vaping.. As I have really enjoyed it and moved away from the tobacco flavors. Soiunds like a cool idea but I am not willing to pay the price for tobacco on todays market.... $7.50 a pack.. It would be nice to get to a point when we can all tell big tobacco, pharma to go to hell. Not to mention the government trying their best to take advantage of the citizens.

$7.50 a pack? I just quit 2 weeks ago, and at 7/11 it was (Camels) ~$6 a pack, or $5 if you buy 2 packs. And i'm in Florida too. You got a city tax on cigs on top of the national and state taxes? Just be glad you aren't in Canada, smokers there get really bent over.

But regardless, I was thinking pipe tobacco, not cigarettes. A cart won't hold very much tobacco, and I imagine it should last for a couple/few refills of juice, so the price shouldn't be *that* significant. If it turns out to work really well, it might be good for a treat. If it turns out just so-so, it might be good in a pinch. (i.e. you run out of nic-juice or it gets outlawed)
