Hi Geoff,
A quick question about the tobacco flavor. Mostly out of curiosity, does the maceration process contribute additional nicotine to the overall stated mg? ..I cut to 12 mg anyway, but was wondering. Need to order more, I hope your new batch/es, with the hastened maceration taste as good as usual.
Thanks!

As tobacco DOES contain nicotine, yes, in trace amounts some nicotine does get transferred, however, there has been considerable debate and talks about posting/dislcosing the variance that this may cause in the MG level of the liquid, but it was found that the nicotine level in the maceration was negligible enough that it need not be disclosed.

Some folks here have done home maceration experiments (part of the huge "so are we getting it or are we not..." thread) to try and extract the nicotine and other alkaloids from whole tobacco in a way that doesn't require a chemistry degree. The general consensus is that only tiny quantities can be pulled out of tobacco that way, and it's very diluted in the maceration.

Getting flavor from it is another story, of course, and Geoff's obviously had success with that!

Well gosh, an' there it is, written on the bottom of the doubler label... "Tobacco... may contain traces of nicotine." The answer was literally inches from my face.
Hmmm, side effects, eh? MP, have you been hypnotizing folks with your subliminal messages again? ;)
I have too many herbs soaking as it is, not to mention jars of dried herbs and herb powders. Otherwise, believe me, I would have tried a tobacco soak! Then I found TV's and there really doesn't seem to be a need to.
