I have only been off analogs for 3 months. I decided when I started vaping that I didn't want to vape tobacco flavors because I was afraid it would make me want a cigarette more. The past 6 weeks or so have been stressful and yea I did have a couple of cigs a month or so ago. Sad to say I liked them unlike many that have switched to vaping. I decided to give tobacco flavors a try and it seemed to help.

I am in search of a tobacco flavor I really like but have no clue where to begin. I have tried black honey tobacco which is ok and what I have been using but not really what I'd like to end up with. I tried a carmel tobacco that was nasty but I think it may have been the mix so I am not ruling that out either. What I am looking for is a tobacco flavor that is not harsh or too strong but rather something smooth and light if that makes sense. I use to smoke Marlboro Lights if that helps any.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I need to buy flavors and am willing to try different ones but I am honestly lost. I don't think this will be something I vape on a regular basis but something to help get through the rough times. Who knows though that could change.

I love tobacco flavors that`s all I vape. I`ve tried fruit flavors and ect. but that`s not for me. I`m 46 and before vaping I smoked and chewed tobacco since I was 15. I was still using both when I started vaping but haven`t used either one since. I`m one of the lucky one`s. I have two I switch between (hot vapes ry4 and vapage classic tobacco) It keeps me off analogs with no regrets I even drip these two which I prefer.

I am sure there is something in there for me and I will keep reading. The problem is I have no clue about any of this. I don't know the difference in RY1/2/3/4, 555, T5 or any of the other letters and numbers. LOL I am just looking for a starting point so I can buy a few flavors and give them a try. I appreciate your input and will keep reading to see if there is something that tells me "this" is what I need to try.

Hangsen RY1, Highway, Virginia, Pipe Tobacco. Those will get you going in the right direction. Mix them at 5%. You can easily add an additional flavor to round them off but they work very well as standalones. The Hangsen manufacturing site in China is state-of-art and the world leader in my opinion. You can find them at RTSVapes for $5.99 in a 10ml glass bottle. They are currently running a Christmas discount at 15% I think. I will look it up and get back to you.

Thank you Glasseye!
I have just placed my first order but I am taking notes for my next order so keep the suggestions coming! They have so much to choose from I could never decide and was afraid to purchase much not knowing anything about any of it. I have got to get me a designated DIY notebook! Thanks everyone! :toast:

I'm a big fan of Dekang and Hangsen juices. Tobacco and RY4 are my favorites and you can buy 50ml for around $13 and change (24mg), much less for lower strengths.

Tobacco is a base level tobacco flavor and it's great for adding a few drops of your favorite Lorann's enhancement flavor. I like English Toffee, Key Lime, and Butternut added to my Dekang Tobacco. It only takes a small drop added to a Protank top create a top notch mix.

Check out Madvapes and Hoosiers for deals on Dekang and Hangsen.

I think it has to do with sweetness pretty much. RY1 is a plain tobacco, RY4 is the caramel sweet one with 2 and 3 being in between. But from there it goes way down. From what I understand RY6 is an ashy tobacco and as far as I know the flavoring for that isn't available yet. You can get pre-mixed at Caterpillar vapes, I think they're $3 to try some of these. Even reading some of the reviews might help your decisions to buy the concentrate.

OK, I have to ask...
What is with all the RY numbers? Is it different strengths or what?

RY numbers seem to be variations on the original RY formula. I think RY4 is the sweetest and RY1 is least but there are more variations. I have them all but haven't really tested them much. In this context, strength relates to flavor strength. NIC strength depends on what nicotine level you mix the flavoring with.

The original suggestion of reading the Hangsen thread is a good one. If you want something close to a real cigarette I recall a lot of posts talking about various Hangsen varieties that mimic that.
