I have purchased liquids from at least 8 vendors. All of my orders have included some, or mostly, tobacco flavors. I haven't found my favorite yet, so I keep ordering a variety from different suppliers.

Anyway, some of the tobacco liquid has a distinct odor and taste that, to me, is just nasty and unvapable. The odor is sort of like vinegar or ammonia, I am not sure. Can anyone identify the ingredient that may be causing this stinky, yucky, tasting tobacco e-juice? I do not want to order any more of it.

Three of the vendors I bought from had liquid with a very strong "nasty" aroma. Some of the others had this same odor but in very subtle amounts which was OK, I could tolerate it.

Advice please.....

Try BWB Virginia. I just found it after a 6 month search for a good little sweetened tobacco vape. Has a great flavor to boot. I have many I'll never use.

I have only used a few vendors but have not noticed a vinegar or ammonia smell or flavor from any of their tobaccos. The ones I've tried are:

Litecigusa: Virginia and Flue cured Virgina
FSUSA: Maxboro, Purecig, Wyatt Earp (not for me) and the Sunrise/Sunset twins
    Vaporstation: Tampa, VS4, Texas
    BWB: RY4

For now, I'm going to stick with the Maxboro, Purecig, and Tampa.

Also, the Applewood from FSUSA and Applewood Tobacco from BWB are really good.

There was just a brief exchange in the DIY forum about something called aldehydes in most of the tobacco flavors. I have found that I do not like the taste or smell at all of much of the FlavourArt tobaccos. I have tried seven, and of those I have only found Shade to be vapable. So if a vendor uses FlavourArt, I know tasting their tobaccos is a waste of time. The best tobacco I have tried so far is Vapor Station, which they have every way from plain (Texas and Tampa) to chocolate and nutty (Frisco) to the slightly sweet (RY4 and VS4). I also really enjoy Vapor Renu's Re(4)nu, but I have not tied any of their "plain" tobaccos.

I have tried BWB and had no problem with any of Don's juices.

Wyatt Earp was one of the ones I was referring to (not for me either). I just got a small bottle of FSUSA Apple Wood but have not tried it yet. I do not smell the nasty odor from it though. Maybe it will be OK.

I got a reply to an e-mail inquiry made to FSUSA recently. David stated "Nah I don't use anything outside of FlavourART ingredients." Maybe that is the problem for me. Aldehydes? Maybe those are the baddies.

    Thanks for your input guys!

Maybe it reminds be of formaldehyde. I presume it's an aldehyde. Very likely the problem here.

No wonder I gave up on tobacco before finding BWB. They really didn't taste like that to me thou. Just all too sweet and I never found a flavor I liked either. I understand FlavorArt adds sweetness to vapes. Something to stay away from for me anyway. I do have an order coming from VaporStation,Tampa included. I'd like to find one other vendor with good stuff.
