Tobeco Kayfun 4 clone - no airflow

Hey all, I was going to post this under the kafun thread but since I am unable to hopefully this will work also.

I bought a tobeco kayfun 4 as my first RTA. Everything went fine with the build, 12 wraps of 26 ga single coil, maybe not the best but looked good when dry fired. I wicked it up filled etc. First draw... was like sucking a golfball through a garden hose. It was too restrictive to even do mouth to lung inhales let alone lung inhale.

Things I have tried so far.
-Rewicked
-purged all air pathways best I could
-ensured I was top filling with FC closed and vaping with it open

I'm guessing the issue might be related to the juice getting somewhere it shouldn't be but have not been able to locate the problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

Did you unscrew the air flow adjustment screw at the bottom of the base?

Yes take the positive screw out of the 510 and there is a adjustment screw there .It will take a micro straight screwdriver to turn it, just start turning and drawing on it till you find your sweet spot good luck and that v4 is really an awesome tank

Thank you both, I would have never guessed there was a screw within a screw. Bit of an inception think eh? Either way that was the problem, thanks again.

My Tobeco Kaufun 4 had the opposite problem. I couldn't adjust the screw down below full air flow, it turns out that the center post wasn't taped deep enough.
I picked up a 3mm tap at a hobby shop (I'm sure I paid too much but they had them in stock) and carefully taped it deep enough to work like it should.

The tap I used is a Great Planes GPMR8112 Tap & Drill Set.
