Tobeco Kayfun Mini wicking issue

I have a 1.7Ω micro coil with cotton set at 12W on a Vaporshark DNA30. 30g Kanthal was used for the coil. Not sure on the wraps, I didn't wrap the coil. The juice I use is fairly clear 70PG 30VG. I have no issues with a similar setup on my regular size Kayfuns and Russian.

It is not wicking properly. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It's not a result of chain vaping, as I also get dry hits after it sits for awhile. The only think that seems to help is removing the top portion and replacing it. So, it would seem it's a problem with the vacuum effect of the tank. I do fill from the top, as I do on my full size ones.

Any suggestions?

Might be too much wick. Or too long, blocking the bottom juice channels?

I found that I naturally used too much cotton on my mini because I was so used to wicking my normal kfl+ maybe smaller (thinner taking up less space on deck) tails running down to the deck

I've read the plastic tank is too thick and impedes wicking.
If you are using that, switch to the metal tank.

This is what I'm trying as I can't see the juice level with the clear tank anyways, for the reason mentioned.

Changing the tank section seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks.

ETA: After using it for a couple of hours, it's better but the issue is not entirely solved.
