I know these have been out for literally a week, I am waiting to pull the trigger on one but I have found ZERO feedback about it.

Was hoping maybe someone out there in vapeland has one or has vaped one.

I've been waiting for a clone of a veritas since the thing came out. The main selling point for me is I absolutely want a leak proof , or at least leak resistant dripper, which the veritas seems to do quite well.

I have never owned a tobeco product so im not sure on their build quality. Can anyone chime in on this?

Very interesting design. Unfortunately I don't have one nor have I ever seen one in person. I do have a Tobeco kayfun Lite+ and I'd have to say the build quality is... ok. I had to fix the darn thing straight out of the box but it vapes pretty good now. Tobeco is not known to be as good as EHpro, hcigar or Infinite but they usually do ok. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if you want one, a Tobeco clone is better than most fasttech clones.

just googling that, all the sites that say pre-order look like they are using pic of the real thing then you go to the one site that actually has it and it looks like a plated pile of dog turd, just sayin

If you are talking about eccigity, it does look suspiciously "shiny".

I have the authentic and it produces great flavor and good vapor. I run twisted 28 @ about .8 ohms. It got a large well and almost impossible to get a leak out of this thing. Of all my drippers this one is a PITA to build but worth the effort.

That being said everything (four drippers) that I have bought with the Tobeco has had quality issues. My Origen rusted up in less then a week. Kayfuns, problems with the airflow not being drilled out cleanly and the threading on the deck stripped out of the package.

Good dripper but I would stay away from Tobeco!

I have had very good luck with the Tebeco Kayfun Lite clones I have purchased. All five of them have given me great service, however a Tebeco mod I purchased had a few problems. I think clones are always a crap shoot, some good and some not so good. Authentic items to me are always the best, but they should be as they cost more. I have two authentic Poldiacs and a Nanos from MMVapors and the quality of them is the best I have seen of any vaping gear. They are coming out with a dripper at the end of August that I looking forward to getting.

Bolded part is the key, you could order 10 of the same clone from the same manufacturer and end up with 5 that work perfectly, 3 that work well, and a couple of complete duds.

That being said some clone manufacturers do tend to have higher rates of fail than others, but that can vary for different items too.

I think there are some manufacturers that have good quality control. Infinite puts out a pretty consistent product. I have both the authentic and Infinite clone Magma. I wish I would have saved my money and waited for the clone. It's rock solid and the build quality is very nice, threading damn near perfect. Hcigar I feel the same way about, pretty good quality.

Sorry for dragging the this thread off topic, I just have had some challenges with Tobeco and thought I would throw it out there for the OP. If Tobeco has cloned it I would wait for the others to follow. If Infinite clones it I will have two :)

Either way, for the folks that bought it I didn't mean to rain on anyone's parade and I really hope it's a solid dripper! If you are a flavor chaser you are going to dig this dripper.

Minus being a complete pain in the *** to build the way i want it (a friggin nut, seriously?), i quite like this atomizer.

Fit and finish is great, engraved ambigram is ridiculously nice, and most importantly i've yet to be able to get it to leak unless i drip a CRAZY amount (ie like 35-40 drops....lol).

I received by Veritas Tebeco clone on Friday and I am quite pleased with it. The fit and finish is very good and it provides great flavor and vapor production. I built it with a duel vertical coil setup at .6 ohms. It took a little bit to figure out the best way to build it. I placed the two coils right in front of the air hole with about 1/8 of an inch space between the two coils.
It is the only dripper I have ever used that does NOT leak.

This atty seems to be getting surprisingly little love, i assume its partly due to design confusion/build difficulty and that wonky positive wire binding system (nut).

Ive been using it exclusively for ~2 weeks and its now my favorite "daily driver" dripper, so much so i rarely touch anything else (the origen still gets occasional puffs for juice variety).

In those 2 weeks it has NEVER leaked a single drop, and its constantly laying airhole down/riding around in my pocket.

Honestly it's pretty amazing considering even my previously beloved origen v2 clone would leak/juice my hands up probably once a day if i wasn't paying attention.

For ~$15 i highly recommend giving the clone a try, once you get past building it/getting it right, i'm willing to bet you'll love it, and it never hurts to cut down the paper-towel budget.:vapor:

I hate the logo and for vane reasons held off on the authentic. Luckily there is a clone with a no logo topcap so I gave it a try. It's now my go to dripper as well. The leak resistant design made all the difference for dripping on the go. I used to carry around the Origen v2 and close off the air hole when I pocketed it but that could be tedious. Flavor is on par and the Origen is one of my favorite among many. Building it takes a bit of getting used because it's different then your average dripper, especially for dual coils. The nuts are a bit of a pain but I've gotten used to them. The one downside for the tobeco clone is the crap insulator. Lower builds <0.5 can definitely melt it. I've read here and there of this issue in the authentic but it seemed like some isolated cases of the wrong insulator installed(?). I'm considering buying the peek insulators for the authentic as well as thumb screws. Hope the fit!

Say what you will about his reviews, but when someone with access to the equipment Rip does says its in his top 5 ever means something (yes its the authentic, but the clone is bascially 1:1).

Only issue i have with the review, dunno what size his drips are, but i've easily put 25+ drops in before with no leaking.

*EDIT* Also lol at the mess he's made out of his positive binder nuts (apparently lost the originals)

Stock peek insulator and thumbscrews fit perfectly on the tobeco.

As for build, I tried horizontal after seeing rip's video. Still prefer vertical. Better flavor for me and better wicking since I use just enough to touch the bottom of the well on a vertical. And yeah, rip was probably using a bottle with big drips. Some I can get 10 and some I can get 20 into the well. It's all relative. He should opt for a syringe and water to test. I believe it's 1ml anyway.
