I've been running an authentic Veritas since February... and a few EhPro clones for the past few months. One of my favorite "all-arounder" attys. With the big bore DT and at your desired resistance, you may want to close the air down to about 1/2~2/3 the orifice size... at least, that's what I ended up with.
If you've an interest in building nice, tight dual
coils a (relatively) easy way... here's a link to my

If you're fond of the 28 gauge/0.8Ω... I'd suggest a 3/32" (2.37mm/.094") mandrel at 9 wraps. The
coils are large enough to thread cotton or rayon wick through... but small enough (and quite importantly - short enough) that they're an easy fit into the relatively tight confines of the Veritas.
I've tried the other ways that I linked to in the fixture thread. Try them all... 'cause you may prefer one over the other. ;-)
