Tobh Atty RDA center post problem.

Hi !
First off, I'm still new to ECF, posting the 4th time, and my experience thus far is great, and like to continue hanging around!

Anyways, I just rebuild my rda (parallel sleeper build, 0.25 Ohms). While fixing it, I worked it too hard, and loosen up the center post. I thought it was no big deal and just tighten it on the bottom with a flathead.

The vape was great for a week or so until I upgraded from a Turtle Ship V2 to a 29 Mod, and things went south. I switch back to my Turtle Ship, but it was the same ....ty vape. I decided it was time to clean out the coils, when I realized that the middle post was burnt black. When I dry burn, the middle post shot out flames. I can also see that the coil that was inside the post was bright red, and the outside was not even close to be glowing.

I'm sitting her wondering if it is my build or the rda? or could it be switching to a new mod shorted something out.

Thanks in advance!

I'd start with pulling the coils and removing the center post to check the insulator more thoroughly. Look for melting or cracking. If your insulator is damaged, you will need a new one.
Replacement can be purchased here: Vapor Mania Tobh Post

If the insulator is undamaged, I would suggest building a standard single or parallel coil set-up at about 0.8 ohms... not saying that you have to vape there exclusively, but it would help troubleshooting to see if a higher resistance, simpler build has the same issues that you are having with your parallel-sleeper build...

They also look pretty close to the center post. Any chance the coils were touching it?

I made sure they weren't touching

With those parallel builds you gotta make sure those leads are going in side by side instead of one on top of the other in the left post of the first pic.

Maybe the post hole is too small, that made it hard for me to fit a parallel in it, and i messed up
