Hey guys,

I'll been building for about half a year and have microcoils pretty down-pat.

I recently acquired a 26650 Helmsman and a 30mm Tobh to sit flush. The Tobh is a truly great rda, but I feel as if I am not putting it to the test. Dual microcoils are pretty and all, but I am hoping some ECFers can recommend some new builds I can try out.

I vape primarily 70V/30P or higher VG blends at 3mg. I use organic cotton, and the Helmsman uses the 26650 MNKE which is one of the safest/best batteries a 26650 can use.

My current build is around 0.4~ ohms. 26ga kanthal, 8 wraps, 5/64" drill bit. I use a butane torch and pliers to compress them before inserting them for better tension among the coils.

Possibly interested in trying a twisted kanthal setup. Any recs?

Well instead of two coils separate heating up. Each wrap heats up next to the other coil which makes ramp up time quicker, hotter faster. That's just my experience, and observations i could be wrong lol

Well it certainly makes sense.

I'll be honest and say that I recently just dropped down from 28ga to 26ga, but am noticing a longer time to heat up...this is for obvious reasons.

I'll check some YouTube videos out later on for parallel builds.

Any pro tips I should ahead of time that you'd like to share?

Also, do you recommend an electric drill for twisting kanthal?

Lol i wouldn't have any Pro tips lol as im not a pro. But if you have trouble wrapping them up cause the strands are all bent in different directions. Hold each price with two pliers and torch em then they all will be straight. I only had to do this with thinner wire like the 30g i used for that quad i posted earlier, it was sposed to be a dual quad that's why i used 30g but i literally used all the 30g i had at the Time making the two quads, and messed one up bad installing.... Maybe ill give it a try again soon

Twisting the wire i normally use a drill, 1 piece of wire folded in half with the two ends in the chuck of drill, use a screwdriver to keep tension and drill till the wire snaps.
This time i wanted a looser twist for more nooks and holes for juice to hide in lol so i twisted it by hand PITA (guess i could have used a drill and did it slow till i got it looking how i wanted.) also note that twisted wire builds like to spit juice more
