TOBH modification

so the TOBH is hands down my favorite atty. great flavor and no set airflow options which means i can drill it out to exactly how i like it. the only thing about it that makes me reach for other RDAs is that the little "teeth" used for the AFC are right in the center so centering my coils makes the airflow come in on the edge of the coil and the cotton. if i could find a way to get rid of those little "teeth" i could center my coils and have direct air flow on the center of the coils. any ideas on how i could do this? i was thinking about drilling a large hole in the center of them and using a metal file to cut them out and then sanding down the rough bottoms but that seems sloppy and time consuming. anybody do this or have ideas?

I used a grinding wheel at my local vape shop. Came out amazing you can't even tell they were there

Some people tried a dremel but most times ruined the deck. If you have an authentic TOBH I wouldn't recommend you try to take out the lips unless you're really good with machining metal.

I used the Dremel with the thin metal cutting disc, then used the fine grinding stone to polish it out...

Dremeled off with a cutting wheel and then used a sanding barrel. Not the prettiest but worked for me. Of course, this is on a clone. I don't think I would do this to an authentic.

still gotta smooth out the stillare like slot, it's sloppy, but since drilling and removing tabs, the tobh is amazing. Kinda makes me wish companies did this for you, so we had professional looking work, not devices we pay to mangle. Than again I nor my vape shop drilling chops are up to par... Yet

I have a Tobh v2.5 and love it, but I also want those tabs gone and the air opened up. I ordered a Mutation X which is basically a Tobh Atty with all the "cloud chasing" moodifications done to it. Only $30.

They most definitely are. I ordered my Mutation X this past Monday, never received a shipping notification and it arrived today.
