OK, so I've had a really good few days on the e-cig and thought it might be fun to start a thread where we can post our achievements for the day. I know some of you have ticker banners on the bottom of your posts but some of us aren't that technically minded and have cut down on analogues rather than quit entirely (FOR NOW! lol!)...

So...today I have achieved ONLY smoking one analogue! Down from 20 a day without an e-cig, to 10 a day with a e-cig two weeks ago! Also, I have a convert! A friend of mine borrowed a spare battery/cartomiser/juice and really thinks its going to help her!

This is totally stuck in my head now: Kool & The Gang - Celebration - YouTube

So come on guys, what have you achieved today? E-cig related, non e-cig related, whatever! Let's celebrate the positives!:)x

Making coffee totally counts! I BOUGHT coffee cos I'm lazy! Lol! There are plenty of people who can't make coffee so I'm gonna count it as an achievement! Anything, big or small that has made your day counts! Coffee (especially decent coffee!) always makes my day!

I'm feeling really proud for having cut back! It's becoming a game of sorts. I have an app on my phone that counts the time in between cigarettes and the longest I've been awake without a cigarette is over 14hours which was unthinkable two weeks ago. The first cig or two on a morning is still really difficult but I'm working on that one slowly.

It's quite liberating to not be tied to cigarettes...I didn't realise how much they impacted on my life! I can now leave the house without having rolled two or three for my walk to classes, I can leave class without rolling one a cigarette, I don't have to time my walk by the number of cigarettes I can smoke in that time... I don't think I smoked so much from addiction but a lot of it was psychological habit and now that's starting to break, life is really good. The ability to think 'I want a cigarette...no I don't!' and mean it, or better yet, realise that I've not wanted one all day is incredible!x

Since you stated non e-cig related, I made a mile stone in understanding HTML 5 and CSS using notepad++. I'm building a web site.

By having that 1 cig a day, you're actually throwing yourself back into the addiction to those thousands of chemicals and the MAOI effect that the cigarette smoke has. I smoked and vaped for months before I made the switch completely, but it was a LOT easier for me once I stopped doing the 1 or 2 a day or just a few on the weekend. There is a withdrawal that most of us go through when switching over, and every single time you smoke, you're exposing yourself to the chemicals your body is withdrawing from..... this of course prolongs the time that you're going to "need" that one or two cigarettes. No judgement here, I did it too... but if you can talk yourself into just vaping for 10-15 minutes to see if that handles the morning crave, it might help you in the long run.

Today I managed not to kill anyone when my coffee maker wouldn't work.
