Todays lesson VAMOs dont fly or even glide very well oops
I only had my VAMO for 2 weeks and normally leave it at home, but decided to take it to work today. So long story short, I'm working on ladders and the remnants of a platform 10 foot up in the air hanging AC units from the steel beams so they can gut the building and tear down the platforms the air handlers are sitting on. Well platform is wobble and were trying to finish the 4th unit when my VAMO falls out of my shirt pocket....straight down! It did not fly, glide or any thing to save its self..just nose dived straight into the concrete floor...BAM!!!!!!!! I looked down at the wreckage...it was in pieces...I was whimpering....why did it have to die!! I had so many plans for it, I just got it a new battery!
Well finally get down and find that the unit had popped apart just below the fire button, the seam above the shorty section. The battery had flew out and the plastic or what ever drip tips are made of on the viva nova had snapped at the the O ring. I screamed for someone to call 911 or at least one of the online vapor stores but no one moved...they just looked at me while I cradled my broken Chinese baby and sobbed. I finally took it to the van ..and figured what the heck...pressed it back together, and put the battery back in....nothing, nada, zippo..no blinking lights, not light on the screen. I was trying to figure out what type of burial to give it....not really sure what religion the Chinese people generally are...so figured Id have a pagan friend just do some general service and then toss it in the dumpster. I went to take the battery out and noticed the hot spring..bottom spring was missing.
Back inside looked around the general construction debris and found it....I ran back to the van and slammed the spring into place....clicking the fire button like I was giving a robot CPR...LIVE DANG YOU LIVE!!!!!!!!!I then puffed on the replaced drip tip...come on you piglet give daddy some vapor...then it sputtered and finally a little whiff or vapor. ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!! but not working worth jack..oh well were is the dumpster...oh wait..checked it is set for only 3 volts...so hit the + button like I was sending out Morse code...hit the button...puffed like a nicotine addict that I am.....VAPOR lots of vapor.... I did the happy dance, and left it in the van the rest of the day...going to van to use it of course.
Soooo remember VAMOs dont fly.
