Because a post made by you is not new to you, since you made the post in the first place. It would however, appear on the "new posts" section on my view of the forum.

And to further clarify, if I'm not mistaken, it would show up for you under "New Posts" as soon as someone else replied to that thread.

Correct, it takes advantage of the database to keep track of what you have read and what you haven't. As soon as any thread or post has changed after you read it, it will automatically display itself again under New Posts.

Hey, I had to get used to the 'Today's Posts' button being in a different place!!! That's enough "change" for me!:D

Nora, if it was left up to you, we would be "posting on the forum", using quill pens, parchment paper and snail mail. :mail::lol:

5card, my sundial stopped working, I think I need to wind it !! :p

I know. It does take a little getting used to but I like it now. I don't understand the My Posts button though because there's already a My Posts link in the Quick Link. I guess Alex just wanted to make sure you found your posts.

Maybe I should make it "My Threads"? Someone suggested a way to search for threads you posted in.

The one in the Quick Links is called "Your Posts" and is totally different and much less useful than the new "My Posts" button. Perhaps "My Threads" would be more accurate and less confusing. Whatever it's called, I'm sure a lot of people will find it to be very convenient once they realize what it does and how it works.

Thank Rolygate for paying for it! :p
