Well tomorrow will mark 1 month no cigs. I smoked for almost 20 years and never thought I would be able to quit as I liked smoking way too much. For me vaping is the best of both worlds......Im no way out of the woods yet but im on my way. Still have the occasional mental cravings but not too bad. Heres a couple observations and what I went through in the last month.

When I first starting vaping I wasnt expecting to quit analogs so fast but they tasted like crap after vaping a week. So puttng those down was an easy decision but let me tell you my first couple days with no analogs was pretty brutal so I chain vaped.

After my first week I was having major issues with my set ups and the lack of experience in vaping and the hardware was very frustrating. I almost went back to stinkies. But I fought through and posted questions here in this forum.

I have definitely found that stocking up with extra batteries and juice is the safest bet when converting over. I started with one battery and clearo and when I was having issues I seen trouble coming. Now im alot better prepared. I currently have 1 ego vv and 3 ego standard batteries, plenty of clearos and back up atty's and about 100ml juice. I also have a store right down the street from me that seels juice and hardware as well as Apollo company like 10 minutes from me so if I have an emergency im ok.

In the beginning I tried some of the liquor store disposable ecigs and they sucked. Tried a Blu and it sucked. Finally tried a ego with a vivi nova clearo and was like holy crap!!!! Almost a month later I have moved on from the top coils and my current vape is an apollo vv ego with an evod 1.8 ohm at 3.7v. Im very happy with this set up as it is reliable and easy to use. Great vapor and throat hit with good juice.

Now just finding a better juice is my goal. Im actually going to try ordering some aroma wta p-38 menthol and see if that can provide me some extra relief or satisfy my taste buds. I was mainly a menthol smoker.

Now if I can just get through another month I think I will be good!

Thank god for this forum. I think vaping has saved my life!!!!

Congrats! I'm not too far behind you. I hit the 3 week mark yesterday and can identify with pretty much everything you said. The first week I was chain vaping the highest nic level I could get my hands on and lost out on a lot of sleep.

I'll say this about the WTAs from Aroma... They work. At least they do for me. I've got 4 different flavors at varying nic levels and use them only when I get a pretty bad craving.

I am at 3 weeks and agree with having a lot of backups. My thoughts are make the initial investment, once you notice it working upgrade and add too your collection with batteries, tanks, and juices...I'm waiting on my Vamo now...It's been costly, no doubt about it...But it's been worth being off smokes...After the Vamo comes, I plan to focus on the savings part of not smoking and get more into rebuilding to make this more of a hobby than a habit.

Cheers

Awesome, thats encouraging! Im not expecting miracles from aroma juice and not looking for my edv but just want something I can rip every once in awhile if I get an urge.

I hear you about lost of sleep. I was chain vaping 24mg and holly crap did that keep me up.

ECF=inspiration. Started smoking Camel Filters when I was 14. Switched to Black and Milds when I was 30 (fully inhaling-pack a day. Just an extreme amount of tar and nicotine). Had my first child when I was 36 and the shame of it all really set in. Three years later had a random encounter with somebody chugging an e-cig-took a hit and couldn't believe how satisfying it was. Immediately ordered a V2 starter kit. Even though the flavors where crap; I never looked backed. Lurked on here daily and checked Pete and Nick's reviews and eventually bought a Vapor Zeus(epic-loved it). Then (still lurking around) realized VV/VW would give me the freedom to dial in exactly the type of experience I wanted-enter the iTaste SVD. It's big, it's heavy, it's my vapesabre and I love it. My transition from analogs to vaping was absolutely painless. And I owe my health, my increased life expectancy, and phycological freedom to ECF, PBusardo, and of course Grimmgreen.

Congrats to all of you for making the bold jump!!

I'm 4 months into it after almost 40 years of the other stuff. Never lookin back...

Although I might add... I've found a new version of an old affliction.

G.A.S. - Gear Acquisition Syndrome...

As a musician I've suffered from this for over 40 summers. I've had to explain to a few girl friends, an ex-wife and the current one why a man needs so many guitars, amplifiers, speaker cabinets, effects pedals and all the rest that comes with it... they just don't understand the nuances that each piece of equipment brings to the equation...

Now a new world... home vaping, travel vaping. power vaping, vacation vaping, party vaping... I mean come on!! You can't use the same stuff for every occasion... where's the fun in that?
