I usually use Halo Truepure but am looking for something cheaper. I just got some ECBlends Menthol (very menthol, a little mint). It's a little strong and I'm looking for a good way to tone it down. I definitely want it to be mostly menthol, but I'm looking to tone it down just a tad.

I've got RY4, cinammon, maple rum tobacco, honey flue, Butterfinger, thin mint, caramel coconut, twinkle (Twinkie), Stevens Surprise (berry), a little bit of 555, a little bit of HX3, Belgian cocoa, and some bubble gum.

So...what should I mix it with?

madvapes Minthol is like Doublemint gum or Lifesavers Cryst-O-Mint. Adding a few drops to a carto of anything you think it would be good with would work. When I vape menthol, it's mixed in the carto, not the bottle. That way, I can judge how much effect it has by the number of drops I add. If I get it too strong, I can back off as the carto gets drier and control it with different main flavors.

Here's what I've done:

Get yourself some PG/VG base then a couple of concentrated flavors. FlavorArt makes an Artic Menthol that is good and they also make a flavor enhancer too. You can mix up a batch of each using the base. For some flavors, like RY4, you can add a little of your menthol mix to smooth things out. Other flavors don't work so well diluting with menthol, so that's where the flavor enhancer comes in.

I keep a batch of each on hand when I need to tone down a particular flavor. You can usually use your sense of smell to know if your in the ballpark when mixing. Then it's a matter of fine tuning.

Personally, I also use some nicotine concentrate in my mixes so they end up about 18mg. That way when I add them to another flavor I'm not diluting the nic content much. But I do know other people just leave out the nicotine altogether in their mixes. Either way, it provides a whole lot of built-in flexibility.

I do think this is the next level in my 100% all consuming vaping hobby. ;) I just ordered 210ml nicotine base and a bunch of flavors and menthol crystals. At the very least I can mix the base with harsh menthols to smooth it out. But I'm hoping to make my own blends that I enjoy (much cheaper than pre-mixed).
