just built a RSST with 400 mesh and 3 coils of 28 wire. reads .65 on my resistance meter. that too low? haven't filled it yet.
What kind of mod and batteries are you using? I run 0.6 to 0.8 on my attys.
It's not a safety issue for the Bolt. Low resistance is no more safe in a mech mod than it is in a Bolt or similar mod. The Bolt will just quite working when the wires or switch die.

I'd want to keep her above 1.0... Your getting into very dangerous territory running sub-1.0 ohms- especially without AW IMR batteries... I'd be less concerned with the mod you're using and more concerned about what batteries you're using. AW's can handle a hard, fast load much better than other brand batteries. Heck.. I've been working with RBA's for quite some time and I'll NEVER wrap a coil less than 1.2 ohm
Also, Ohms can fluctuate... I've rolled coils at 1.3; only to have them drop to .9-1.0... there is no telling where a .65, or even a .78 could end up.
Please... be careful; you can blow yourself up! Many folks believe a hotter coil makes for a better vape, but that is not necessarily true. More often than not, more wraps on a coil increases the coil's surface area contacting the wick- creating a higher volume of vapor- sometimes creating better taste. Experiment... try to make the perfect coil instead of the hottest coil. Again... whatever you do, be safe!
Be careful d3mon or your Bolt might just glow in your hand!!
Do you have another mod to put it on (safety)
or
I would try some 30 wire if you have any. The more wraps you put on using the 28 gauge, then it will take longer and longer to get to vape speed!!!

.8 with 28 + IMR 18500=SAFE. no problem. You made me want to dig up my old black bolt, its gotta be somewhere...
these dudes have me sweating it this morning. DNW exploded face. but i AM interested in going to 30 gauge...or even bumping my coils up a full extra coil (mainly cuz i REALLY enjoy making them lol)...can i pull this coil and re-wrap around the current wick? i dont see why not...
Absolutely... you can re-wrap on the same wick!
i feel my HHV Heavenly waffles vape (60/40) has TOO hard a throat hit...upping the ohms help that?
