Having a kind of unusual problem, not sure if this is something you guys have had happen:

I got a new flavor TFA cranberry. Mixed it at 1% and it was very perfumy but I could taste the flavor too (immediately after mixing). I cut it with 2 ml of vg to see if the perfumey taste would go away. Instead, the perfumey sort of taste remains but I lost the actual flavor. Was I wrong in trying to cut it. Should I have just let it sit open for a few hours?

I learned from Bill (bill's magic vaper) over on the TFA thread what creams can do for your mixes. I had a grape mix that was perfumy to me. I added sweet cream, bavarian cream, vanilla cupcake and sweetener to it and the perfume went away. It made the grape really shine through. HTH

It sounds like you tried it to early, wait a week then try it again.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ever buy TFA Rainbow Drops, unless of course you enjoy vaping something akin to a mixture of turpentine and Naphtha (zippo fluid) with heavy overtones of concentrated Pinesol.
no matter what percentage you mix it at, it's without a doubt the most horrid thing to try and vape, on the other hand it would probably make a great paint stripper, or toilet bowel cleaner.

Thanks for the warning. I will make a note of that.

Thanks. I have already placed all 8 bottles from yesterday's mix in a black box to wait out a fair steeping session. I was totally taken back by it though. I've never had that before. I have had a few flavors from TFA that needed to steep to mix properly, but never that heavy perfume taste. I'm using some of my previous juices now Thankfully I have plenty to use. I didn't really need to mix any yesterday, but was anxious to try the new flavors.

update: 3 days in--2 of the 8 flavors have calmed down and are very good. Chocolate/almond/coconut is excellent, butterscotch and Dulce De Leche mix, very good. The rest seem to have gotten a little less perfumey, but still have it so--back in the box for a few more days to test again. :)

Some flavors are not solo players no matter how you mix them. But yeah steep and if that fails you used to much so save you nic until you get the formulation correct. I have ended up with 350ml batches or bigger of things trying to zero in on the flavor. Which is all good because if it turns out good it wont go to waste and I can steep it for eternity without nic in the mix. I only ever had to dump a few things but for the most part it almost always works out in the end.
