I have friends who make fun of how much vape gear I have, and it's not much lol. The other thing I notice is that even though they smoke analogs they vape too. Unfortunately, they don't operate their Riggs correctly!!! 3 weeks on a burnt coil? Useing the wrong charger? Unable to switch from watts to volts, I'm talking 3 years ago lol. What's going on? If your vaping the AIO and don't know the difference between MTL and DL....what's the point? I know people on box mods that don't know the resistance of their coil. Then they wonder why they can't quit the stinkies, and why they really don't enjoy the vape. Anyone else ever deal with this? I think this is a great thread idea!! Thanks to all for your input.

I have found that everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

The best way to learn from other people is to ..........listen and observe.

Maybe your friends excel in ways that you do not? I know mine do!

Just because somebody doesn't know MTL from DL ..... if somebody feels they need to know something, and/or decide to improve their experience, then they will eventually seek out answers.
(Isn't it like that in everything?)

I guess what I'm saying is that we all know what "un-asked for advice" feels like........(though we are all often on both the receiving end and the delivering end of THAT )

It's hard to not want to move people into a better space but in the end, that is really up to them. Sometimes "too much giving" i.e. listen to me! I have all the answers!" is actually a form of selfishness/self-absorbsion. :)

I know many that couldn't tell you the resistance on the coils they use, the walk into a shop, hand it over and buy a pack of them. No biggie
I've spent hours with people over the years trying to get some people to grasp just the basics of Ohm's law, some people just won't and can't get it. No biggie, we keep them with beginner gear that's simple and fool proof.
I know people that can't, won't and just flat don't want to know how to build a coil. No biggie.
In this day and age there is such a wide variety of gear that you don't have to know all these things. The mods are safer, the coil heads are cheap and easy, the tanks are easy to fill, it's easy to take on vaping. Honestly I'm grateful for that.
So maybe? Rather than berating them you could try educating them?
"Hey man, that juice smells off tonight, when's the last time you changed a coil?"
"Yeah, I know it can be a bit confusing going back and forth from VV to VW, but here's a little trick I learned to make it easier."?
But just going off first impressions, I think I'm pretty glad you weren't around helping me getting started. I'm hoping you can change that impression.

Do your friends hang out here on forums were they can gain the knowledge you have or no?
While you're saying they make fun of how much gear you have, all I get is you making fun of them cause they're doing it wrong.
I know people just like the friends you describe & they know nothing beyond adding juice & vape.
