And picked up an 18650 workhorse and brass tube. Wanted a second authentic to bring out and about that wasn't going to break my bank but still hit hard. Gathering quiet the little collection now, stingray x clone, cigreen dragon, my most precious JD tech copper stingray, and a Super T. I think I'm done for the year. Anyone have any advice on hiding new mods from ones wife? :p

Diamonds seem to work.
Got a 18500 and a 18650 brass tube. Have a Work Horse telescopic and really liked it. So added a buddy for it.

Damn, she's not much of a jewelry person. Which sucks, because my mother was in the business. Could always tell her it was a clone, and hide the receipt.

Anyone who wishes to acquire a non-telescopic Workhorse needs to do it now.

From an email I received a couple of days ago:

I guess I need to get my 18650 brass tube ordered before those are gone as well.

Bummer. A workhorse was one authentic I could see feasibly purchasing at some point.

I'm surprised they're moving to telescopic tubes, it seems like a step away from simplicity and pure performance.

I'd try to scrape up $60 if at all possible. They really are great mods. I've got a "few" mods but the Workhorse is one that is *always* with me. I currently run a Billow RTA on it at .25ohm and installed the heavy duty switch spring. This combo vapes like a dream. I also had some sheets of 3M Di-noc laying around and put a CF wrap on the WH. I'm not sure I'll keep the wrap on it but does feel nice and sits perfectly flush in the cutout on the body.

This is the current setup:

I'm actually pretty excited about the brass tube that I ordered with it. Can't go wrong at 100 bucks total. The only thing that I have minor hangups about is the spring and the recessed button. It will be my first none locking mod ( though I don't lock my other mods all that often because the throws are pretty tight).

I have a Super T Work Horse and it is an awesome mod! I wonder why on earth they would discontinue it in favor of a telescopic version???

I feel ya. I love my WH18500. Hits hard and is built like a brick ....house. It's my daily driver. I've run .25 ohm on it with the HD spring and it never complains. I'm not sure why David is discontinuing the WH line. I don't have the telescopic version (own ELA's) but I know for a fact the WH has less voltage drop than both my ELA's.

My hope is that Super T has some other plans in the work for an affordable authentic...

Wouldn't surprise me. I bought it as a daily beater and an upgrade from a Stingray X clone and Cigreen dragon. From all the browsing I've done, plenty of people where picking this mod up, probably to many for the manufacturer to pass up the mid/high range entry level market.

My workhorse arrived yesterday. Gotta be honest, rather like it. Size wise its about a half inch bigger then my stingrays, so that's good. I threw my recently acquired veritas clone with a dual vertical .5 ohm coil on it, changed over to the brass tube, and dripped some strawaffle from ITC capes on it. Probably one of the smoothest vapes I've had. Definitely a keeper set up. If I had to guess it hits harder the. My stingray x clone with the top cap...probably about even in hybrid mode, but not quiet as solid as my copper JD tech stingray in top cap mode. But perfect for my out of the house mod.
