I had a dead disposable and decided I was curious if I could open it up since it was a one piece. First I peeled of the tape like layer (which is the paint job that makes it look like a cigarette) and I was left with a shiny metal tube. I took out the tip that you inhale from and then pulled out the cartridge. Then I saw the atomizer and tried to see if I could pull it out. I could. I pulled it out with my trusty paper clip and to my surprise it wasn't a metal or metal looking atomizer. It looked like toy doll hair.

I'll admit I rarely visit the modders section, but the times that I have visited I've never seen an atomizer that looks like this or is this material. Am I right is this the atomizer? I looked in the tube and couldn't find anything else that was protruding enough to get into the cartridge.

I know that there ARE fibrous, conductive materials commonly used in everyday appliances. Example: Automotive spark plug wires. They use this fibrous material as a conductor from the distributor to the top of the spark plug. Only question I have left is how healthy it would be to use such a material....

Away..
I just rebuilt one. Model Kim One. The fibers are the same as in a normal cart wick, non-conductive.
Mine had 2 coil wraps of nichrome wire .004 . It has an air sensing circuit and a 08500P 250ma rchargeable lipo. I put a plug inside the endcap with 2 small holes and recharge it that way. Makes a good dripper. I have an idea for cart feeding it.

I have a 2nd coming apart soon. I want to measure the nichrome. That length even at 1/8" dia would be a low ohm coil. From whats visible, very low.

Edit: Scottbee, it's identical to the pic you posted of the greencig. I can't see how many winds in your pic, but I'd hope they use more than 2!
