Hey ECF,
I'm a one pack to one and a half pack a day smoker for about 11 years, i ended up picking up a disposable e-cig, it was harsh but I enjoyed it for some odd reason, even though I had a friend who vaped i just enjoyed analogs so much more at that point. The disposable kind I went through four in two days seems like a 510 threading model but the battery really didn't work for me. So i did some research which eventually led me to this very information filled forum. So after much research after the past two days I placed an order for a joyetech MEGA eGo kit from litecig as well as 24mg, RY4, Creamy Cappuccino, Dun-Hill/Deluxe Tobacco Liquid, Caramel Liquid. Few hours later i placed an order for Hazelnut Caramel Macchiato, Caramel Cream, eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, Flat Tip x4 (2black 2 clear) from madvapes. Hours of being on the forum makes a fellow do crazy things. Considering I've been reading for a total of 12+hrs in 2nights. Oh i didn't even get my package yet but i ordered Kentucky Cherrywood and Kentucky Premium Blend from Vermillionriver. Oh boy did i think i was done ordering, NO i ended up reading much more on the forums and purchased Boba's Bounty and Strawberry Cooler as well as some Boge Cartos. Some how it didn't even end there went to vapor beast purchased more cartos and a dip tip.

I only smoked 3 analogs in the past 2 days down from a pack!

Any feedback on my purchases and tips on usage or even tips on great ejuice would be appreciated. tobacco or otherwise, I used to smoke Parliament lights, i really don't mind the taste of Marlboro Reds either though. Who really knows what i'll like til i get my vape and juice, waiting patiently but not sure if i can wait to start.

Sorry if that was really long, I'm just excited to receive all my packages and start to vape the correct way

Woohooo! Welcome to ECF & congratulations on your decision, & a double-congrats on your enthusiasm! Sounds like you're off to a roaring start there. :) About the only suggestion I would offer (and I don't expect this would have done any good if anyone had offered it to me) is, take your time & get to know your gear. Try to be as patient as possible with yourself. Oh, and prepare to be amazed, in case you're not already thus prepared (you probably are). Also, remember that everything you learn on here for free is something you won't have to pay to learn out there in the marketplace, so keep on reading all you can about everything that interests you. Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Welcome to the ECF colossalK! Looks like you've done some extensive research over the past couple days! You have made some good choices there as far as your orders go, Vermillion has a pretty loyal following for their tobacco flavors and Boba's is well, a pretty big favorite amongst many vapers here. I haven't had Vermillion yet as I found out I am not a tobacco flavor vaper but I have heard nothing but good things about them!

I've had Boba's it's more like a honey graham cracker to me, and I love their Gorilla Juice. Ave is an excellent vendor. Now you have to find out what your personal favorites are as taste is so different and varies quite a bit from person to person.

I would recommend checking out Highbrow Vapor, Nite Lite Vapor, and Vape-A-Licious (if you ever get in a fruit or dessert mood VAL is awesome) as far as juices go those are my faves.

Good luck in your journey and remember the most important thing is you're not smoking stinkies anymore!

Welcome to ECF! You've jumped in with both feet so you sure won't run out right away! It looks like a great start and cartos are the way to go. The only things I'd suggest is to make sure a carto is fully wet the first time you use it so you don't get a burn in the filler and remember to puff into your mouth like a cigar, then inhale. Many of us started by hitting these like a cigarette directly into our lungs and that burns. Also always carry a spare battery and juice just in case. I hope you have fun with your big juice party!

One tip I'll give you...if you don't like a juice when you first try it, sit it aside for a couple of weeks and then revisit it. Majority of juices are made fresh to order and need to steep. A cool, dark place away from critters and munchkins will do.

Also, when filling a cartomizer, let it sit for 20 minutes for the juice to settle in it. Don't vape it right from the get go or you might burn the filler. A new Boge will take 25-30 drops to fill. It should look slushy on top but not pooled up. After 20 minutes, gently blow throw it into a paper towel, wipe the threads off, screw on battery, and vape away. When the first sign of flavor or vapor dropping off, refill until slushy again. Don't let it run dry.

Welcome to ECF and enjoy.

thank you to all the welcomes and comments, i made sure to purchase the 900mah kit which comes with two batts, so hopefully that will be more than enough to last a day. was just checking out the carto mods with j-tank seems interesting, will see where my preferences lie when i get my shipment, as well as figuring out my flavors which seems like the most daunting of the the tasks. I will be taking all of your suggestions especially the gorilla juice, and others from AVE. If BWB wasn't down i probably would have made a purchase from there today, good thing it wasn't up (i guess?)

Congrats on your decision to drop cigs! I was a one-half to a full pack a day smoker for 7 years. It only took me 2 days of vaping to completely free myself of what we call "analogs" and by the 4th day, cigarette smell make me sick.
It can take a while to get used to all the terminology. I'm still baffled! I've been vaping for just about a month now.
Keep us posted on your progress and what you think of your new gear.
Also, I think it's great that you ordered more than one battery. I started with just one and when it needed to be charged, I ran out and bought a pack of smokes, I knew I wouldn't make it 3-4 hours! But now that I have 2 batteries (and a 3rd on the way) I'll always have one charged and ready.

One other suggestion.... I just scanned back over your initial orders & don't see where you have any atomizers coming in (I could be wrong about this.) I like to have one LR and one SR atty for testing new liquids before putting them in a carto, mainly because a good dripping atty is a lot easier to clean than a carto so If I don't like the juice I haven't contaminated a new carto with it. Just wanted to pass this along hope it helps in trying all these new juices you have on their way! :D

Welcome to the ECF! Others mentioned some great places for juices. My personal favorites are The Vapor Room which has a great flavor Espresso (noticing you like the coffee direction ) and Tasty Vapor another one, is Halo E-Cigs their Torque 56, Prime 15 and Smooth 8 are great. I have only learned so I can agree with Warren, that having an atty is a great way to "test" the juices before wasting a carto!

I know what you mean by it makes a man do crazy things! :p There is soooo much you want to try and do, but be patient and take your time! If you get frustrated at any one point ask for help here on ECF, the people are nice and helpful! It's great to have members that are like this! :)

So welcome to the world of vaping, and Happy Vaping! :)

I was in your same place a couple of weeks ago. Went through quite a few cartomizers trying different flavors and even got them all mixed up once and didn't know what flavor they were. That made for some interesting combinations when topping them off with new juice. I had the same equipment as you and vape at work. Two batteries were required for me to make it from morning till night so use one and charge the other. I also found a couple juices I can vape all day long so settled into a tank and carto setup so I don't have to refill at work. This also lasts me all day long. At least that is this weeks setup, who knows what next week or next month will be. Main thing is have fun with it. Good luck!

this is bad, i haven't deviated from this forum from the time i woke up, all i can do is wait in anticipation for my VP to come in the mail tomorrow, its hard because i have nicotine cravings, had a few analogs today unfortunately and looking at tank mods and VV and i don't even have my VP yet!

Yep, don't beat yourself up, it'll take what it takes so be patient with yourself. Count every little victory or the perceived defeats will stare you down. And don't forget the BIG victory: your decision to jump into vaping in the first place! You're on a roll now so don't let negativity set in and convince you it's just a soda cracker. :D Happy Vaping, after patiently waiting! :toast:

Vermillion River rocks! Allow me to introduce you to our new group allowing you to check in from time to time and read what others say about particular flavors and such. Welcome to ECF and hang in there...shelf some of those juices and allow them to steep..like a good wine :) Here's the link:

Congrats and welcome to ECF! Make an effort to drink a lot of water as vaping takes moisture out of you. I didn't know that when I started a got a little dehydrated. Now I drink 2-3 quarts a day. Don't give up on RY4s- they are not all similar. I have one I can hardly stand and I love the one I got today from IkenVape. As for cartos, I find myself liking regular resistance, single coil cartos for a better flavor- maybe give them a try sometime (Boge, Kanger horizontal coil, Ikenvape). It is a journey and ECF makes it enjoyable. Cheers!
