I dont see how, even after an in depth conversation, some people still think vaping=smoking.

Me: Its vapor, not smoke.
Random Person: Ehhhh! It looks like smoke!
Me: Ummm, no not really. Maybe from a distance. And does it smell like smoke?
RP: Uhhhh. SO? They make mint cigarettes. Thats smoking!
Me: Menthol actually, and that still smells like smoke. BTW did I mention there isn't any combustion? If nothing is ignited then how is there smoke?
RP: I dont care about anything you say I still think its smoke so YOU are a smoker!
Me: ......

Maybe it would be easier to explain if there was a pot of boiling water nearby. Look at the wonderful SMOKE coming from that pot. It looks like I am ready to add the pasta and SMOKE it.
Maybe afterwards, you can all go to the sauna and have a nice SMOKE.
Ugggh!

#18 is the one I hear most often, and it takes every fiber of my being to keep my eyes from rolling so far back into my head that they would actually come back around the other way. Ugggh!

That danger is present (If statistically unlikely) with ANY electronic device.

My response is typically "and your phone can explode against your ear."

Editted to add: I didn't see this, lol

Esp. when they've got a cell phone glued to their head when they say it.

Precisely this.

Get this....(about 18 months ago) someone once said at least they know about the safety features in a cigarette.......ya, what? So I felt the need for further clarification...."so you think that cigarettes are inherently safer to use than a vaporizor?" The answer was "yes, they have that thing in them that puts the cigarette out so it doesn't burn a house down....e-cigs don't have that.":facepalm: I decided not to pursue any further discussion on the matter...and walked away.

The REALLY funny thing about that person...... is that they are allowed to drive and vote.

I worked in a dance club for 9 years been going to dance clubs for 20 years they all use fog machines which vaporize PG. WE could have bought PG 55 gal drums with how much we used a week. any one that has been to a dance club, laser show, haunted house, magic show, concert, etc has inhaled PG/water vapor.

Sorry everyone, I forgot to source my material,

"In our most recent scientific study, we have determined that certain electronic cigarettes share an uncanny resemblance to Darth Vader's light saber," Mr. Bob Dobalina, a leading PR representative of the FDA announced during last Thursday's press conference. "The dark side of the force represents a serious threat to our youth, and will probably corrupt our children. We are perusing legal action and seek to regulate this Sith-like device."

A public release to the study can be found here: Scientific study based on science, facts, truth, and logic

You can't argue with science.
