Since I am retired and spend 99% of my time at home, bottom fill doesn't bother me at all. I actually don't own any top fill toppers. Bottom fill works for me. :) Isn't it great that there is something that just plain fits for all vaping styles.

I absolutely avoid bottom fill tanks. the idea of having to unscrew the tank, fill, and replace, is not only inconvenient, but over time results in increased wear on the 510 connector of both the tank and mod. The only time I need to remove a tank in active rotation is for rewicking once every week or two, rather than several times every day.

Curious, how many tanks do you have in " active rotation ". I'm always surprised when i hear people say they re-wick every two wicks, until i remind myself that doesn't tell the whole story. How many ml's of juice do you go through on average before you need to re-wick ? Do i vape the worlds gunkiest liquid, or am i more particular than most about the taste change !?

5 to 7 ml of DIY juice, fair amount of flavoring but rarely any sweetener (and if I use a sweetener I use Erythritol which is less gunk prone) and about 3-4 tanks in daily rotation. So to do a real rough estimate maybe 30 ml through a tank before a rewick is needed. I could do it more often but maybe I'm not that picky.

Also top fill for me too. The only tanks that I'm using that are bottom fill are my Nautilus Minis that I have to use pliers to open. They will soon be replaced by Triton Minis once I've had enough dealing with them.

You should take a look at the new Nauti 2. Same 2 ml volume of the Triton mini, top fill as well, and has a nice style to the design over the classic tank look. I have a Triton mini and it's a regular for me for low watt stealth and do like it, so this isn't a knock on that choice. And I really don't need that level of stealth often enough to buy a Nauti 2. Then again, it does look so nice in photos sitting on a Pico.;)

Wow, 30 ml ! I'm lucky if i get 10 ml with my cleanest liquid before i notice a taste change, color change even sooner. With my NETs, i re-wick after every tank ( 3-4 ml ).

I'm retired also but I find the top fill easy peasy and bottom fill a pita. How long have you been retired, 4 1/2 years for me.

I agree, it looks pretty cool, but I have enough tanks and don't really need anymore, but then again....... :D

No kidding, my wife and daughter got the Nautilus (regular and the mini) due to the store people going on and on about how great they were... I hated, HATED those tanks, hated the airflow, hated the crappy coils that never lasted, hated that I needed a pipe wrench to get it opened regardless of how gently we'd close it...

The moment I started looking at "new" tanks at the time, I settled on the Aerotank, which was lightyears better (but such sensitive coils that would burn out way too easily should you be 0.5 W too much). Once I got the Melo 2 with my TC60W kit, that was it, everyone switched over to them. Over 2.5 years ago and we're still using those tanks (me less as I've switched to RTAs for the most part).

It's one of those things that if you get one, you'll look back and wonder why you waited so long, and if you take the bottom fills out after a while of using the top fill, odds are you'll no longer like or want to deal with them.

Moral of the story, if you're happy with the bottom feeds, then don't ever try a top fill.

I have 3 clearo's, 2 of them are bottom fill. I also have 2 RTA's, both top fill. I certainly prefer the top fills because they're just easier (quicker) to fill, but I don't have to remove either of the 2 bottom fill clearo's from whatever mod I happen to be using. I just have to flip the mod over and unscrew the tank from the atty base. I also have to remember to keep the tank upside down until I screw it back on..

I use some of both types, BF and TF, mainly because I still like some older clearos, and some tanks that just don't have a TF version.

Example, I bought 6 STM, and was using 1 of them in rotation...until I got a bunch of the TTM at a great price for my stash. I put 1 in rotation...and I love it so much better! Now, the STM I was using just sits, and I'll probably just flip the others.

After getting those, I got the Subvod Kit that has the TTN. Loved it, too, so more kits are in my stash now. Then bought and tried 1 of the little Kanger TopEvod Kits and really like it for out and about on short trips to town, and for those just switching to vaping who want an easy-peasy tube shaped starter kit with TF. So that led to getting more of them for the stash, too.

I do still like my Innokin 16B and 16D clearos, multiples of the PT2 & 3 Mini's, both sizes of Aerotanks, and the Nautilus Mini's. Those I'll still always use even though they're BF.

The little KFL+ Shorty versions that a bunch of us make/use, are now my favorite tanks though...and they're BF unfortunately. I am getting faster at refilling them though!

By the way - I'm another one who's retired. It's been 13 years this coming July for me. So I do have the time refilling BF tanks/clearos takes. Since I was a teacher for 30 years, (which required a whole lot of patience at times)...I thankfully still have enough for dealing with BF tanks/clearos, too. :)

I normally use Kayfun v5's and love the top fill.Recently i am really liking the Doggystyle 2k16 and this is bottom fill.I just leave it on the mod, place small provided screwdriver in the air hole then tip over unscrew fill and screw back.It takes seconds and will save the 510 threads.
