The Stallion from texas Vapor is stand alone with adjustment on the outside of the tube, cureently sold out and being revised

The Stallion seems even more down my alley, only wish they had it in stock. I just put myself on their email list and will hope they restock soon.

tj99959 - I don't have any plans to (granted who knows, they could change) to do much in the line of rebuildables, at best getting something probably like the vivi nova or other tanks along those lines with replaceable heads. Would love to try some of the DCTs that I see on various websites too.

I frickin' love my Provari, but a Silver Bullet and a kick would also be a great option. I'm not sure you entirely understand how the kick works, it's variable wattage, not variable voltage, which means once you find the setting you prefer(which doesn't take but a minute or two TOPS) you will never have to change it again. You could put 20 different atomizers on it with 20 different resistances, and it would give you the same exact drag every single time. It reads the resistance of your atomizer, and automatically adjusts the voltage itself to exactly where you want it. It is by far the easiest device i've ever used and I still use it daily. Life without my kick just wouldn't be the same!

Won't you spend just as much money on a new Silver Bullet, batteries, charger, kick, and kick sleeve as you would a Provari?

From the looks of it, with the Bombshell Stinger, I can get a kit, purchase a Kick, and still be about 160-180 with everything I need aside from the juice. With the Provari, correct me if I'm wrong, but to get everything I need, I'm looking at 200+ before I even have the cart/tank/etc. It's not a HUGE difference, but I like the "ease of use" with the kick figuring out and adjusting voltage automatically after I set it at a wattage I like. I think I get even a better deal with The Stallion, only problem is they're not available at the moment. There's still time before I get my bonus and it's not like I'm without something to use, so I'm weighing all my options and still open to hearing other options.

I just got my Stinger a little bit ago so to new to offer a solid opinion yet. It is a good 1/2" shorter than my Acrylimax and the Lavatube. It is fatter but not so you would really notice (almost feels more comfortable) So far vaping like a champ at 7 watts. When you take the top cap off there is the adjustment for the kick, so very easy and you do not have to remove the kick from its sleeve for either the adjustment or to change the battery. I went with this over the Stallion because: If the kick goes bad, just 45.00 to replace (if they come out with a DNA20 kick it should be an easy replace. If the switch (top cap) goes bad, just 20.00 to replace. If the Stallion goes bad, I assume you just throw it away as the board died. The Stinger also has a larger capacity battery, probably not a big deal as they both should last all day easily. So far the vape seems more consistant than the Acrylimax as it (max) seems to not control the power as evenly as I had hoped. I bought two Acrylimax (stupid I know) and they both differ how they vape on the same wattage and both seem to fluctuate. There is also a 10% discount on the Stinger with a coupon code (I believe it is "swisher7). google it.

Will know more after I use it for a day or two and try different tanks, but so fr I am a real happy camper.

Personally I'm interested in VW but having a hard time convincing myself it's worth it (though healthcabin is now selling that ego threaded VW for $39). Thing is, I really "vape to taste". So the whole point of VW isn't a huge breakthrough for me. On a twist I can just start at the lowest voltage and work my way up and down until I find the perfect vape for me. That process takes like 10-20 seconds. Not to mention some juices are going to taste better at different watts to begin with, so you end up having to tinker with a VW anyways.

So I keep asking myself ... do I REALLY need to spend more money on a device that's going to save me 10-20 seconds of time ... occasionally? Still trying to answer that one ...

I have to say that I use my VV devices a lot more than my VW. Mainly because different juices require different wattage anyway.

Yup. I'm just trying to be mindful about not getting sucked into the whole "gotta have the latest and greatest device with the new shiny whistle" or the "I have to have what the cool kids have" mentality.

Obviously they have to keep coming up with new stuff to keep people buying but for me personally, I often find the features aren't life changing ... or really don't change my vaping experience at all. So that's sorta what I do when I see a device now. I ask myself "Is this really going to elevate my vaping experience to the point I feel I can't go without having it".

VV for instance ... has definitely been a life changer. I know I couldn't go back to not having it ... it's completely elevated my vaping experience.

The real change is that over time we learn what devices work best at what voltages, and over time we will be able to match the proper devices up with any given set voltage. An example would be that this atomizer that is absolute heaven on my 3.7v SB would be a complete waste on my Provari (E1 error before getting up to the wattage where it functions best)

Indeed. You really only need 1 vv in your arsenal to help tweak your resistances and voltage.

Is there a particular one you might suggest? I'm loving my Twists (and even more with the new Kanger T3 that arrived earlier today), but there's still plenty of other things I'd like to try (still really determining what's best for "my" vaping). DCTs for instance. I understand that the Twist won't work well with those. Also looking for a long battery life and I understand having separate batteries to purchase, when one goes bad, is more economical than having to get a whole new Ego (or other entire VV).

You can use a single coil carto tank system. Egos do have a rough time with dual coil and that's something to keep in mind because if something goes wrong, it's going to fry your battery ... not the coil.

Really though ... both tank systems are basically the same concept. If you like cartos ... use a carto tank. If you like wick tanks, then just stick with that.

As far as devices goes. It's really hard to say. Are you looking for a certain look? Is there a feature you feel will make your vaping experience better? If you like the ego and just want something with replaceable batteries ... there are ego mods for that.

    Something like this: http://www.free-cigs.com/Ego-Variable-Volt-V2-Stainless-Steel_p_127.html?AffId=1

    Or a step up: http://www.healthcabin.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1132&products_id=8190

tc1 - VV is a definite. I like the cylindrical look (Provari, Silver Bullet, etc.). Replaceable, long lasting (use), batteries. VW would be a plus. Ability to use a wide variety of tanks/cartos (510 connection). I've been leaning towards the Bombshell stinger w/Evolv Kick, to give you an idea. Since I'm not exactly in a rush, I'm taking my time shopping around. I want something that will last.

Taking your time will make you more positive towards any purchase you make. Using this forum and reviews/info on youtube can really help you make that decision. Every device you mentioned is pretty nice and has large fan followings so honestly you probably couldn't go wrong with any of them. It just comes down to which features you like and/or which pleases you visually.
