Tornado Ego C+ unit and Kanger Pro Tank 3?

I had a question about the Tornado Ego C+ 1000mAh battery from Totally Wicked e-liquid. I just ordered one a couple days ago and spaced. I'm using the Kanger Pro tank 3, and I was wondering if it would work fine with the power unit. I tried it on a friend's, and it wouldn't make contact, but I swear I've used his battery before when mine died.

Will it work just fine with the Pro tank 3, if anyone here has used the same combo?
If not, is there an adapter you might be able to suggest that would solve the problem?

Yes, that's fine. Is that a twist? If it's not a twist version of the c, you'll need to have an appropriate resistance for your preference.

It should fit, sure.

It might not vape very well with a 2.5ohm coil in it.

Alright, I had an old ego/510 battery laying around that didn't seem to work with my Kanger Protank 3's. I searched around and saw a thing about the center pin. I raised the center pin and viola, it worked.

My new question, for the two of you that may be following, will I have to do the center pin thing every time I take the tank off just to get this old one to vape properly with these tanks, or is there a way to keep it permanently adjusted?
(this is also under the presumption that I may need to do this with the new battery coming in - just wanna be prepared; note, however, that my friend's battery is usually under the stress of an adapter so that he can use an XL cartomizer, if that makes any difference)
