So if I use my old 510 charger to charge up the eGo batteries they will last longer? Is slower charging better for the battery because if it is I might start using my old 510 charger even though it will take longer to charge...

Edit : When I say last longer I don't mean per charge, I mean the overall lifetime of the battery.

Yep, they will have a longer lifetime if you charge them slower. It's the same connection as a regular 510 but if the hole is recessed in your 510 charger then the thicker ego battery might not fit. That's why TW made the extension.

Hi there! I just started vaping almost 3 weeks ago, and after long research through this very helpful forum, I got a Tornado. I'm still working with the first battery and first atomizer that came with the kit (it comes with two). I find I vape pretty moderately to high especially on the weekends or out and about. My battery life on my first battery died finally after 6 hours of moderate vaping. The Tornado kit also comes with a nice handy little TW black bag with a snap button to keep an extra battery, carts and an atomizer if you are going out. I use it all the time, put it in my purse and go! I play and practice pool a lot and used to chain smoke 4-5 hours straight through a pack of cigs each time, now with vaping and the Tornado battery life, I don't stink like an ashtray, and I've at the most have gone through a cart and a half playing pool. I don't drip in the pool hall it's too inconvienient at home I do, so 510 cartomizers work really great on the go or long drives! I hope that helps! Cheers and good luck to you and your choice! I love my Tornado, and haven't had an analog since I started vaping! ( ^__^)

That's great, smart purchase : )

Wish Tornados were around when I started. Makes it much easier. When I had the PCC it sometimes didn't work. I'd be at a friends house and I'd say oops, I have to go, my batteries died.. Get home and plug one battery in for 5 mins, use it for 2 mins while I try to charge another. haha

The eGo is fantastic. I got mine from dietsmokes.com. I have had two warranty issues (a flaky USB charger and a marginal atomizer). Parked at dietsmokes shipped replacements out immediately upon receiving a tracking number from me for the returned items so I didn't have to wait for the entire round trip.

I would go with the longer warranty on the eGo as opposed to the 28-day warranty from Totally Wicked. Both of my failures happened after the 28-day mark. It was also nice to get the atomizer replaced and TW doesn't warranty those at all.

For a case, go to an office supply place and get a Case Logic USB stick carrying case. It neatly organizes batteries, atomizers, cartridges and can hold 3ml bottles of juice as well. The eGo just fits along the spine.

It's good.. : )
Sweeeeet :) Well the absolute dream would be to have them in by Tues, but any time by Thursday and I'll be thrilled :D

So excited about this - I'm very much hoping to give up analogs entirely for vaping, and I've convinced at least two of my friends to do the same. One of them ordered with me to save a lil bit on shipping charges.

As I'm sure you guys know, people are very curious about this when they encounter it, and it doesn't seem to take much of a trick to convince them to give it a shot.

Ordered my Tornado and a whole mess of liquid from Tasty Vapor. So excited! Any idea on the shipping times from TW and TV to the States?
Was the site in dollars or British pounds?

When I ordered my Tornado it shipped from Florida and I payed in USD.

I have seen people accidently order from the British site before and get weird international charges and whatnot. If that happened yo may have time to change the order.

Good topic idea.
I thought about doing an eGo vs. 510 models +/- before deciding!
Ordered the eGo yesterday AM from Janty USA.

Nice. Hope it helps some people who are trying to decide :)

I'd have gone for the eGo given the info in this thread, but they were out of black on the Janty site and someone mentioned that heaven gifts doesn't ship Janty to the US. I didn't know if dietsmokes gave the full 6 month warranty, so I figured I'd just take the 7.5% discount and go with the Tornado.

Personally, I am a TW Tornado fan....the batts are fantastic and last me (personal experience) 10 hours plus and I am a chain vapor..the vapor production is fantastic...it takes alittle practice though...I also use the mega carts and attys ..totally different than the regular 510 attys and carts (in my opinion). I have worked myself down from 18 mg two months ago to 6 mg..I was a two pack a day smoker of analogs in Feb and have not smoked one since then...(that's probably why I am a chain vapor, lol)...always remember....vape slowly and steadily if you want the best experience...it's not an analog by no means...
