Hi everyone, first thread since i became a member of this great forum. I am fairly new to this, I have been vaping since september and still have not given up the analogs all the way but i am working on it. I have a both a tornado and a riva battery that i bought along with chargers for each. Each charger says that it is a fast charger and the stickers on them say they output 4.2v and 420mAh but for some reason the batteries take forever to charge, sometimes up to 8-9 hours. I don't vape very heavy and i dont drain the batteries all the way before plugging them in to charge at night. On a rare occasion they will take normal amount of time to charge. This happens no matter where i have the charger plugged usb port on a computer or a power adapter. What gets me is that i have an Eco kit that i got from goodprophets.com and those two batteries never take more than 3-4 hours to charge with the charger that came with them which has the same specs as the other 2. Has anybody experienced this before?
Any input greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Leo

You need to contact the vendors. Those chargers are defective and should be replaced. It shouldn't take longer than 3-4 hours to charge a 650 mAh battery with a fast charger. BTW, you're not alone. Those chargers have a lot of problems for some reason and a lot of them are being replaced, sometimes more than once. The vendors are aware of the issue and should not give you a hard time. Good luck.

I emailed the vendor where i got my riva and waiting to see what they will say. I doubt they will want to replace it since the charger technically works and besides that i bought the battery and the charger during the veteran's day sales that were going on and just recently started paying attention to the long charging times. I guess it never hurts to try.
Thanks,

i cleaned the contacts on the riva charger and moved it to another usb port on my computer, i plugged my tornado battery in it to see if it would take as long to charge it and it did not. It seemed like it took the normal amount of time to charge the tornado battery. I am going to use the riva battery today and tonight i will test and see if the charge time will be different. The vendor seems like is willing to replace it but asked me to see how long does it take to charge other batteries so that is what i am doing now.

My 750mah Riva batteries charge in approx 90 min each using the fast charger and in just over 2 hours by USB plugin. Sounds like a charger problem to me.

Hope you get it sorted out.

+ 1 . I just got my riva, I am also new to the e cigg. But I am loving the hypnotic mist, and a very few other flavors so far. MY battery charges very easy and last a LONG time, I dont vape often, But It sits a long time before actually needing a re charge, IMHO I would upgrade to the 750 battery , HTH ....
