I have been using the ego t atty on my provari for a while now and have been helping people with leaks and flavor issues...I have been reading allot on ECF about tank setups and now I can agree that there is allot better out there "other than the ego t"...I was on madvapes and they have a 5ml tank kit for $12 with I would say 98% great reviews....So I picked one up, it comes with a 1.6 ohm cartomizer that my provari would not like so i bought a couple of 2 ohm cartos as well.."they are smoktech's, pre punched and are $2.50 each"....This tank works great...no burnt taste, NO leaks, great flavor, only second day using it but deff better than all the ego t attys I have been using....they also have a 3ml tank...figured i wound vent about it....allot of people in here have problems with the ego t leaking and burnt taste...this would be perfect for ya!!

CCV sells the Smoktech tanks now too. They have the 3.5ml and 6.5ml and also have a 6.5ml polished aluminum tank.

For people that are using egos or 3.7V PVs, or just people that don't like dual coils, CCV now sells pre-punched Ressurector cartos that have the metal base for the Smoktech tanks. The Ressurectors work awesome in a tank, and I figure eGo users will like them more since the eGo really doesn't give enough to power the dual coil that comes with the tank. I use a EPower which is 3.7V, but even that I personally don't think runs the dual coils that well. It's okay and it does work, but it's nothing special. Dual coils are much better in the 4-5 volt range. The Ressurectors work awesome on a 3.7V PV. They don't run at full potential on an eGo, but still work pretty well and many eGo users still really like the Ressurectors. They will at least def work better than the dual coil that comes with the tank, and their single coil so they won't drain your battery as fast.

Plus CCV has a great price for the pre-punched Ressurectors. Like the OP stated, most vendors sell pre-punched cartos for $2.50 each. Andrew is selling a 15-pack of the pre-punched Ressurectors with the metal base for $25.50, which is only $1.70 each. Plus then you get free shipping and a free syringe and drip tip
They are 1.7ohm so they really arnt for someone that uses a VV PV and/or higher voltages, but for 3.7V PVs or eGo users, the Ressurectors would be a really nice replacement carto for the Smoktech tanks

I haven't tried carto tanks at all yet, still using my eGo-T... This is why I haven't tried to change:

Filling an eGo-T tank is so freaking easy. It can be done in a few seconds while I'm walking from my office to my car. I can't imagine filling a carto tank that easily. Or is it?

I'm the same way with my Ego-C. No leaking issues at all with it, and it's so easy to fill and go.

Might have to still try the Madvapes all the same, but I'm pretty much in love with the Ego-C set up right now.

The madvapes tank has been working pretty well for me on a vv box mod. It comes with a dual-coil which won't work that great on your ego battery, but you can get a pre-punched 2.0 single coil that will. It takes about 20 seconds for me to fill my tank and I chain vape it for about 8 hours at work without having to fill it again (batteries are a different story, though).

The eGo-T tanks kinda make me laugh bc people either seem to love them or absolutely hate them. I see the eGo-T get recommended to newbies all the time in the new member forum, but at the same time, the eGo tanks got countless votes for the worst vaping product of the year thread. They might have won worst product of the year, but Im not sure. They def would have won hands down if the G4 Fluxomizers were never introduced to the market (They were absolutely god awful)
Personally, I think a lot of people use and stick with the eGo tanks only for the fact that they have never tried anything else, and thats what their comfortable with. Theres nothing wrong with that, but there is def more options available and many of them are alot better.
Personally I hate the eGo tanks. They are a good concept on paper, but thats it. They can be very finicky and leak alot. The eGo-C is better with those issues than the eGo-T tanks, but I still find that they both dull the flavor and TH of alot of my juices compared to the Ressurector cartos or a carto tank I use. But for many eGo tank users that have never tried anything else, they dont feel their tanks dull flavor and TH because they have nothing else to compare them to.
I think if a lot of eGo tank users tried something else like a carto tank, or even just a good carto, many of them wouldnt be so fond of the eGo tanks anymore, and the OP is a pretty good example.
The smoktech tank is a good tank to try for someone that wants to try something besides the eGo tanks because their cheap. They arnt the best tanks ever obviously, but for the price, their not bad at all, and they will def help someone realize that there is more out there besides the eGo tanks.
Redbucket, Id recommend trying one or something similar. You have nothing really to lose and if you really dont like a carto tank, then you still have your eGo-T tanks to go back to. I really think you would be very pleasantly surprised tho. A carto tank prob has a slightly bigger learning curve than just using a regular carto, but its still not bad at all. If you know how to properly use and fill a carto, than using one in a tank is no problem, and most people catch on quickly. Filling most carto tanks is very easy to do, and depending on the size of the tank, some hold up to about 5x as much juice as the eGo tanks, so even if you found them alittle harder to fill, which I dont think you would, you wouldnt have to keep refilling them half as much.
Quite a few vendors sell the Smoktech tanks too. Madvapes was mentioned, and is a good vendor and I also mentioned CCV. Id prob get them from CCV just because their about the same price, but CCV has free shipping, and also you could get the pre-punched Ressurectors to use in the tank instead since the tanks come with a DC and they arnt that great on an eGo. I would bet if you tried a tank with a Ressurector in it and compared it to your eGo tanks, youd wonder why you never tried something like that sooner.

the way i fill the madvapes carto tank is very easy...I pull out the drip tip, slide the tank up about 1/2 inch, take my bottle of juice, tilt it on a angle and start dripping into the tank right about to the point where it is going to enter the carto then im done...push the carto back into the top and put your driptip back in...very fast...very dry
