Lol, alright Ernie
Didn't want to sound like a dad (or whatever the Bert/Ernie relationship is) but Hydrogen Peroxide is crap stuff and not something I'd advice people using 4 times a day.

You're a guy, right?
Most women are quite familiar with peroxide...it's used to bleach hair.
And I never used it more than once a day, if that often, so don't worry.
But thanks for caring.
Now, let's sing about things that start with the letter "V"! La la la valentines, la la la violets, la la la VAPING!

I hope you didn't take my comment too insultingly. I do appreciate your help.
My mouth is still a "dead zone." Yet food tastes so good! Weird.
I guess this was something that slowly creeped up on me...about two weeks into vaping, I started to experience a muting of flavors. After a bit, I started to use a dripper, and that helped for a while. I'm still hopeful that this will actually solve my problem..as after this (pure VG) I have nowhere else to go!

20% pg is intolerable to me. Dry mouth. 10% is about as High as I can go comfortably and even that adds dryness. Get 100 vg before you make assumptions. Any amount of pg will continue to feed the fire.

Also it may take a day or two off pg before you recover the hydration in your mouth.
Okay. Close to two full days in and I do seem to be getting a little bit of taste back. I'm going back to the store to get some more and a different flavor. They have Velvet Cloud Vapors and Kind. Back to iced tea, Splenda only, and stopped using a straw (because who knows). As I said before, this HAS to work!

TheraBreath and closys are two of the best mass market products, hands down. Based on stabilized clorine dioxide , its safe and very effective. Biotene can't touch this. You don't need any more glycerine or glycol in you products.

Try to get unflavored nic base if you can.
Wow! I hadn't realized there is PG in Biotene!!! I will look today for one of the products you suggest. Thanks, Jeremy.
This might be kind of insane - but could I have been drawing way too hard on my 'vapie?' I mean, assuming I do have a PG sensitivity, and taste began to go away...so I started drawing harder in an attempt to 'taste' my juice. I started to realize I've been doing these massive draws this morning, and started to back off. I may have been causing an additional problem for myself this way.

Tight draws are terrible, I absolutely despise a tight draw. Too much constant strain in your mouth and face. Lol.

What clearo are you using. I would mod the air holes on it

You misunderstood me. I tried to say it in a tactful way, and what I meant was that I was sucking with all my might, in an effort to get something, anything. I modified that lol.
I got "Once In A Blue Moon" from Kind Juice and it's really strong! Much more powerful than the Velvet Cloud Vapor I started with. I've ordered a few others to try and I feel pretty hopeful. The mouth rinse seems to help too. Thank you again. i also tried a new drink; I think something that tastes like what you are vaping helps sometimes. (Diet) Dr Pepper! Not bad.

This might not be the right place to post this, but here goes.
Today's my 100th day, and I should be very happy...but I have an odd problem. Dry mouth. I mean REALLY dry. This isn't vape tongue (which I do get a lot), and it isn't because I'm not drinking water. It's a complete and total dryness and a feeling in my mouth that it's about to pucker away to nothing! Started late yesterday, when I realized I not only couldn't taste my juice, I couldn't FEEL my juice. Crazy, right?
I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out. I'll add that I mostly use juices at 65PG/35VG, and I have an Innokin itastevv3; use clearos and/or a simple dripper on it. I drink lots of water, coffee, and iced tea. Help?

I think I've just been drinking too much strong tea. Case closed for now.

I get total dry mouth when I drink dry wine or tea. It also happens when I take a sip or 2 of anything made with artificial sweeteners.

It's taken me a while to figure out that some of the flavors in our e-liquids have ingredients that cause dry mouth (and numb tongue) to the extreme. Tannins. Eugenols, phenols, clove oil, nutmeg, cinnamons ....the list seems long (for me) sigh.

Good luck:)

Edit to add: PG does it too, (among other things) so I vape 100%VG unflavored DIY nic base more than half the time these days. It's not bad:)

This has been very frustrating for me. I started out loving vaping! But I looked back over the time since I started, and I realized that about a month in, I started to have these problems. First it was a muting of juice flavors. I began to look at cures for vapers tongue at that point .I started using a dripper, since I had read that you get a stronger taste, and it worked for a while.
Just about a week ago I started experiencing severe dry mouth and I lost any sense of taste at all. I cut out the very strong home-brewed iced tea I was making, then I dropped any drink with aspartame. Finally I stopped using a straw, cause you never know.
Now I'm doing only the all-VG stuff. Still very bad. I do get taste at times but it comes and goes. Grrrrrr.
