If it became a trend, perhaps. Then again, many other products have their own trend of abuse that is far worse for the health and no one seems to be doing anything about it, but that only helps sales. which bring me to; If it became a trend and slowed down the sales of some product sold by a major corporations, then yes.
Where does the nicotine in your e-cig come from? If people were lighting the end of pens on fire and smoking them, I imagine smoking pens inside or outside businesses would be prohibited...
Gotta love little podunk towns. I'll bet property values will skyrocket now. lol.
Man that's crazy. I bet a small town like that can pull it off though because you only have so many people that are going to vote on this. The population of the town is only 14k. But if they ban it the next town over is like a mile away so you can just go there and buy cigs. They should've take a lesson from alcohol prohibition.
It is a town in Massachusetts that is near New Hampshire. I doubt it will be made into a law. But, stranger things have happened. The ban would be for the sale of all tobacco products, and they would classify vapes as such.

Not sure how true it is, but the proprietor of one of the local vapor shops told me that my town is considering a ban on using e-cigs in vehicles....totally don't understand that one, apparently tobacco cigarettes are fine in your car but not e-cigs?
I hope they do it...then when the town crumbles financially the real issue will come to the surface. If smokers are forced to leave town daily to get their smokes, are they gonna come back to town and make 2 trips to get whatever else they need or just buy everything at once in another town? If I drive out of town to a gas station to get my butts, do they expect me to drive back into town to get my gas? Pretty obvious, but let's not let illogical decisions get in the way of imposing beliefs in the Land Of The Free. It's not my town, but it is my state and I'm embarrassed by the stupidity
Perhaps because of cloud chasers? They'd be right if most people were not smart enough to confine their clouds away from their vision while driving, but not all people will puff blinding clouds while driving, so that's a little discriminatory.
For god's ache, there was this guys who had his own car roll over his head because he dropped his cigarette while backing up from his own driveway... Might as well be all inclusive and go for anything you put to your mouth if we're going to punish everyone for a handful of ....... That way we could get rid of the cell phone law and include that into the "no hand-to-mouth gesture while driving" law. Don't cough or blow your nose... they'll get ya! Breakfast at the wheel? 1000$ fine. Putting on makeup in the rear view mirror? 1000$ fine. coffee? You should have drunk that before driving. Itchy eyes while driving? Same fine; you were impeding your own vision so we'll punish you like an idiot who didn't deserve to drive even though we sold you a license after making you pay for a test. "Those sunglasses seem a little dark to me ma'am. You have 48 hours to get them checked out."
Maybe I am paranoid and they're looking into a way from preventing new vapers from throwings mods out of the window and causing motorcyclist accidents... old habits die hard, and we all know the government is all about saving motorcyclist lives.
Meh. My husband is from the People's Republic of Massachusetts. He wasn't surprised by this.
The town I grew up in, in North Carolina, it is illegal to sell alcohol within the county limits. So…everyone drives to the next county over to buy beer. That is what will happen to this town. Everyone will drive outside the town limits to get their cigarettes/vape stuff, and while they're there, they'll buy the rest of the stuff that they need. The little mom-n-pop groceries that rely on people making impulse purchases while also buying smokes will go out of business, or if they can afford it they'll move right across the town limits. The loss of revenue will hurt the town, people will complain, and the ban won't last. But we, as a species, still won't learn the valuable lesson that you can't legislate human behavior. To think that someone wouldn't drive an extra couple of miles to satisfy a vice is just foolish.

Many of the political leaders and a fair percentage of the population living in Peoples Republics would make tyrants like Joseph Stalin, Paul Pot, and Kim Jong-il very proud.
Having friends that live in some of the Peoples Republics that I speak with on a regular basis......Exaggerate? No, not really.
Please name the states where millions of people have been exterminated. Your comment is offensive and belittles the deaths of millions of people. And it’s Pol Pot, not Paul Pot. He was responsible for 1.5+ million deaths in a country of -8 million people.
It's usually Nazi Germany that's evoked, so, at least he's trying to come up with a different comparison.
Why thank you for correcting my spelling. I am sorry you could not differentiate between a analogy of zealots destroying freedoms/personal liberties and zealots that destroyed human life.
While I will admit that we've lost a few "minor" freedoms/personal liberties along the way, to compare the US to the regimes you've listed is ridiculousness and something, as an American, I find quite offensive.
There are wolves, sheep, and sheep dogs. Thanks, I have always wondered what went through a sheep's mind.
