I'm wanting to get into making my own juice. 100.00 a week is killing me. At this rate I'm going to have to go back to analogs. Is not my setup burning through juice. It's me. I love the flavors. I don't know the first thing about what I need or where to get it. Would someone be kind enough to help me get started? I really don't want to go back to chewing and analogs. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I stole this from @Sir2fyablyNutz but think it's part of what you're looking for. There is also a great list of blogs to read that tell you everything you need to know. Someone will probably be along shortly that has that.

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine bases regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.

E-Cigarette Forum - Boletus - Blogs

Then read Ginger's book "E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid". It is a book which I've contributed to that delivers an in depth easy to follow guide in the art of DYI.

E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid

I recommend viewing VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety and bookmark it for future reference. It explains safety in all aspects of DYI.

VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

There are a few places that sell starter kits. My Freedom Smokes has a decent one that you can customize and there is a 15% off coupon code you can use that I posted earlier today. You don't need much really. A few empty bottles, a couple of syringes, a coupe of graduated cylinders and you are good to get started. Just make sure you have an accurate measuring device for your nicotine liquid. I use syringes for that. Everything else I measure in the cylinders, then pour in a bottle and shake. Think of it like bartending. A lil out of this bottle, a splash of that, shake, pour serve. :thumb: Start with small batches (10 ml or less) and when you find something you like, make bigger bottles of it. There are lots of calculators out there to help you out. Ther is a decent one on Steam Engine.

100 dollars a week? How is that even possible?

Vaping has 2 of the things I love. Pleasant flavor and nicotine. Before I started, I had a constant intake of nicotine. Unless I was sleeping. If I wasn't smoking, I was dipping. The only thing that has changed is my nicotine level in my juice. I took it up to a 6 instead of my 3. That seems to help my intake some. But barely enough to mention.

I can see that. I was paying 25 bucks for a 30ml bottle at my B&M for a juice I loved... I could easily burn through a bottle and part of a second bottle every 2 days. In fact those bottles are why I got into DIY. I loved the juice, but couldn't afford it!

Same here. 20-30 ml a day gets expensive. I rock a Kayfun Lite as my ADV to conserve juice, but I still blow through 3 tanks in it. Plus I keep a couple of drippers and mechs handy for a cloud and a different flavor a couple of times an hour. I picked up the Billow V2 a couple of weeks ago and it's in daily rotation for a tank or two as well.
