Ok so since you did state that you think you'll prefer a 2 piece model:

yes V4L is good as others have mentioned

but to give you some other options for the KR808D-1

LitecigUSA - great vendor, good prices, also carries numerous other models including the 40x mentioned below and the 501

Good Prophets - great vendor, good prices and also carries other models

PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!! I've never dealt with them but they have a good rep from what I've seen on the forums and do carry the KR808D-1 at a good price

another 2 piece option which is similar to the KR808D-1 but has different threading and therefore is harder to find other vendors who supply replacement cartomizers

Electronic Cigarettes By Bloog Bit more expensive than the KR808D-1 but a good product and a 30 day return policy if you don't like it along with a 3 month warranty. Good customer service. This was the first e-cig I tried and have yet to have a problem with mine that I've had for 6 weeks now.

also as a 3 piece option as ethirty stated the 40x is a good choice as it is comparable in size to a real cig and has great performance and flavor

some vendor options for the 40x series

Intellicig Great product and customer service and you can also find alternate vendors here in the states who are resellers of their products. Just recently obtained a set and they have now replaced my Bloog as my primary device

TrueSmoker: M401 Dragon Haven't purchased from him yet but his Dragon and Phoenix are really great if you're looking for something stylish. He has a good price for what he carries and is a good guy to deal with.

There are way to many styles and vendors out there for anyone to state what is going to be best for anyone other than themselves. Even more than I mentioned here so be sure to shop around. Hope this helps.

Don't get me wrong I really want to like the company because they have such a good reputation for customer service and their fans here are almost cult like ..................... I really dislike the rebranding of ecig models as it contributes to confusion of newbies..

I would say take a look at the thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...strated-guide-e-cigs-parts-1-through-6-a.html

I thought it was just me. Hopefully you haven't been bombarded with them (during me writing this up) for making such a strong statement:lol:. It's funny how a fan base can actually completely turn you off from a particular product.

I think Drozd's post has good recommendation. That thread he linked should be required reading before purchasing. (I am unaware if they mention disposables but they are available in some models). Especially for people who want to dip their toe in without a big investment.

I have only used 510's and love the original joye510 best. They do sell disposables for 10.00 usd ...I got them as gifts for friends and family to try.

Over 2 weeks smoke free

I often hear Vapor King/Vapor4Life fans described as "cult-like" and I have to say that it's pretty insulting. V4L makes a very good product that is very easy to use; they have excellent customer service and fast shipping; they always throw freebies in with my order - and their prices are competitive. From my standpoint as a consumer who's trying desperately to kick a lifelong addiction, that's a win-win. I don't want to waste my time or money on a so-so or bad vendor/product. I recommend V4L to any newbie who's looking for the above qualities and/or great flavors and throat kick. Does that make me a cult follower? Really?! That's absurd.

I consistently recommend my favorite e-juice suppliers too: MyFreedomSmokes, Vapor4Life, Nhaler, and Tasty Vapor. If I think that a particular vendor is good, I will say so. If not for the recommendations on this forum, I would have been lost in the beginning. It's important info for newbies because the whole e-cig world can be very daunting in the early stages. They need to know which companies and products they can trust, and we all know that some products/companies can NOT be trusted.

Vapor4Life is a good company with a very loyal following. The same can be said for lots of the vendors on this forum - and I would never call them cult-like.

Choking you? please explain in more detail, as there are a few different things to try begore giving up on a unit and buying a whole new kit..did you blow the primer out of the attys? too much throat hit? juice too strong? letting the carts get too dry and getting a burnt sort of taste thats choking you? how are you taking your drags? possible sensitivity to PG or chain vaping and drying out your throat?

It's just a lot of vapor compared to the bluecig I was borrowing from a friend. I have to take really small drags because of the immense vapor output. I was looking for something with less vapor production to try out. The Joye models are supposed to be interchangeable and was just planning on swapping the 306 atty just to see if I notice a difference. But I just wanted to know if doing this is going to affect the 510 battery life.

I refuse to even go there looking at the posts listed here. Poor guy was just looking for feedback. Wants to make a good decision and now look what he has to parse through. This is not normal for the ECF members from what I have seen, what happened guys? Does everyone need an analog or what!

Maybe it's the equivalent of a filtered vs non-filtered analog argument?

Sure. That could be a logical rationalization of it. Although that would still be better kept for an appropriate thread started for the purpose of that particular debate.

I just don't see why so many threads that are started asking for advice on a good starter device need to turn into a fight between V4L fans and non-V4L fans. And I'm not putting the blame on people on either side of it as I have seen it "started" by people from both sides.

People need to learn to just make their suggestions, and give a reason for them if they so choose, and then leave it at that. ;)
