So I purchased myself a Straight Ego not the T, C or the 510 when I placed the order I also picked up some juice, 2 drip tips i got a bit confused on the size i needed and still ended up getting the wrong sizes a few packs of carto's which fit and a LR atty that fit but in any event.... i ll try not to ramble but either its just a personal gripe i have with the device itself or maybe one of you can help me figure out a way around this while giving me some help. I find when I use my ego with a carto and the cone my lips cover the cone enough that it doesn't let air flow I can use it without the cone of course but was hoping maybe there are longer carto's out there. The solution I figured to fix that problem for the time being was to dremel the hell out of one of the drip tips that didn't fit down replace the o-ring and put that into the end of the carto. I dunno maybe I have freakishly huge lips :p. I feel that my Next purchase that I make i am going to end up fudgeing up my order again buying the wrong tip's carto's w/e i choose to buy i was hoping to get some insight on what I should be looking for when getting accessories sometimes things say 510 or ego then some say used with 510 and ego so its rather confusing at least for me. Any chance someone could hook me up with some inside the USA links pref east coast store links for good quality Carto's pref longer in size, looking to also get a clearomizer, one of those tank/carto's i see that hold like 5 to 6ml, and for the love a god drip tip's that will fit... again excuse the noobness of these request's there is no excuse for it

Thanks in Advace

The, Drank.

Granted, the eGo I vape on now is my first and only one, so please take any advice I give with a grain of salt :D

However, I do know there are a couple of vendors out there that sell shorter cones. Here's one that is just a straight cover: GotVapes Vision eGo CONES - BLACK [gv-visioncone-black] - $4.00 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

There are also cartomizers that are as big around as the eGo battery, so there's no need for the use of a cone. I've tried a clear dual coil found here XXXL DUAL COIL Cartomizers It works pretty good, with great flavor to juices, but be careful when you screw it onto the battery cause the plastic may crack. Or I may just have used it too long (over a month) :D

Either way, know there are lots of choices out there - don't give up!

Hi. When referring to 510 they are basically referring to the thread size on batteries which connect to either a cartomizer, atomizer, clearomizer, etc., The ego uses 510 threads so anything with 510 threads will work on it, with a few limitiations.

I don't understand the problem you describe with the drip tip. In my case the carto, 510, is a tight fit at the top of the cone, it won't allow a good draw. You are saying that without the cone it draws o.k and with it you can't get a draw, correct? The cone needs a little space between the outside diameter of the carto and the inside diameter of the cone or it won't draw correctly. Where it meets at the top. My experience with it, just tried it.

There is a thread dedicated just to the e-go's. You might pick up some tips there or pics to help you out.

Model Specific Discussion

We all go through a learning curve so don't let it get you frustrated, I am sure you don't have "freakishly huge lips" and ya ain't ramblin' nor do you need to feel bad about it. This is what this forum is for, helping each other out, and providing information to help our common addiction.

Hope this helps...

The thing that is probably causing some confusion is the names of products, ergo ego and 510 devices. Don't worry about that too much, what matters is that your device will fit anything that is 510 threaded. So, you don't have to buy anything that is labled for the ego, just 510.

Hope that helps a little. Can't help too much cartomizer wise except to suggest you look at the smoketech xl cartomizers that hold around 3-5 ml of juice and are clear. Due to size, cones do not work. I am sure someone else will chirp up about cartonizer suggestions for the ego as it is preferred by many. I primarily drip.

Not sure what drip tips you got, but you might want to look at contour drip tips or ming drip tips, not stubby drip tips.

Hope this helps. Sure more help will be offered shortly.

I am a KR808 fan, because they are simple. I have 2 at the moment I've started with, one manual and one auto. They are 4.2 volts, 250mah.

If I decided to step up to an ego, I understand I would get much more life, like 600 mah, (I get 500 combined mah with 2 808s) but what about the voltage? I've been under the impression that egos are less voltage than my 808s. If battery life is not as much of a concern (I like to switch between 2 active batteries for variety of flavor), then am I better off just sticking with the 808s?

**Sorry, I meant to post this in another ego thread.

I'm lost regarding what carto's you bought. If you bought an eGo kit that came with at least one atty and a cartridge, put those two pieces together and a regular size carto should be the same length as that. If the carto's you bought are so short that they barely extend beyond the eGo atomizer cone/cover there is something very wrong here.

Not that you need to buy from Cignot.com , but take a look at that site since they only sell Joye hardware. It should at least give you and idea about what it right or wrong about the stuff you purchased. Especially take a look at the standard 510 carto's to compare them to what you bought. I'm thinking you bought some kind of mini cigarette cartos by mistake.

first off wow thanks for all the info and help its very much appreciated. Secondly to Clarify the Carto, atty, cone problem i've personally have been experiencing the carts i got were Boge 510 Cartomizer and they fit fine and are longer than the cone cover but without a mouth piece / tip on the end seems like when i pull on it my lips cover the cone at time's which restricts the airflow. Was curious if they made some sort of a extra long carto that instead of a rubber plug stopper they had a actual mouth piece although I've customized a driptip to fit. on my last order i also picked up Joye XL Cartomizers but didn't pick up a needle so i am just kinda stuck with em until i get one.

the other thing i was just more curious to know the atty's the kit came with and the one i bought are just long enough when the cone is on to meet each other. was wondering if they made a atty that's like the size of those mega XL carts i listed above. where you don't need the cone at all and it all looks like one sized device or even a longer sized atty that will over extend the cone.

any who thanks again in advance

No, you don't really need to use the atty cone/cover at all. It's more for aesthetics, and to possibly keep you from touching a hot atomizer. But I don't think the atty ever gets that hot in use that it's a problem. I actually prefer the better draw you get when it's not in place.

But back to your problem: I have a standard eGo kit and I have both Joye attys with 510 carts and Joye cartomizers. Using either set up, either a cartridge or the cartomizer end of things extends a full inch beyond the atty cone/cover. This is not a problem for me. What's going on with your setup? Is what extends beyond the cone/cover that much different in length?

using my cartos without a tip it does extend passed the cone and using a atty with a Cart or a drip tip it does extend passed the cone and work fine I just feel for me it felt short like that 1 inch of space wasn't enough for me to feel comfortable using. anyway a solution to this is i found a 510 battery extender which i think will help should add a inch to w/e I am using might make it feel more comfortable. Also with help for you guys i am going to pick up some mega carts that you don't need to use the cones with.

510 Battery Extension

thanks again
