So, I tried out e-cigs with an Encore, and my biggest problem was the taste of the cartridges; frankly, they just tasted chemically, for lack of a better word. I quickly switched over to blu, and fell in love. I am a long, long time smoker who just wants to quit analogs-- I'm not at all into the crazy flavors (yet, anyway) and the blu tobacco knocked my socks off.

Well, my eGo clearomizer came today and the juices I ordered with it (DeKang and something else equally cheap) tasted EXACTLY like the stuff in the Encore. I'm vaping it because I don't want to buy a pack of analogs, but it's more of a chore than a treat. I already ordered some Johnson Creek liquid so I know I have something I'll truly enjoy vaping, and if I have to I'll stick with them. I truly don't know whether they just cover up the chemical taste with such potent flavors, or if there is a basic difference in the makeup of the liquid.

If anyone else knows where I'm coming from, I could use some advice on good tobacco juice that doesn't taste like a mouthfull of cheap chemicals with almost no body or flavor to it. Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest sampler packs from vendors if possible. I've only been at vaping for two weeks and have only dealt with one company (Halo), so I don't have much to really add. Halo has samplers of six 7ml bottles of various flavors for $26. If you get one or two flavors you don't like, you don't feel bad about not vaping them. If you find one or two that you really like, you can get larger bottles of it while you try other stuff.

I mention Halo because they're the only one I know that bundles sampler packs together. I'd be very surprised if others didn't do something similar.

Keep an open mind with the flavors. I didn't think I'd want anything sweet either, but I bought a 7ml bottle of Halo's Tiki Juice because a lot of people were raving about it. Turned out to easily be my favorite flavor so far. I bought five different 7ml sized bottles and liked 3 of them a lot. The other two aren't my cup of tea even though the description mad them seem like they'd be my two favorites. Odd how that works out.

Buy a bunch of small bottles, trying a variety of things that you think you'd really like and a few that'll be a bit ou of your comfort zone. It's very common to read that people who never smoked menthols really like menthol juices, and menthol smokers who can't vape menthol juices. I smoked menthols and vape them, so you never know.

Halo, as noted by JR, has sampler packs and flavor called "Tribecca" which is a tobacco flavor and really quite good. It's what got me started on the path to vaping as well.

I just received some different tobacco flavors from Timeless Vapor, and while I'm giving them time to steep a bit, I gave a taste to the "Nanna-Bacco" after letting some sit over night in a dripper, and yowza. Tasty.

Like others, I'd suggest highly getting sample packs, and try some you may not think you'll like. I've done that a few times only to find new favorites and some I thought I'd love... I didn't. Cinnamon Roll from Mount Baker is pretty high on my list, as is the Mudslide, and I'd started out with just samples of them.
