We ordered our first SD MKII's last January and haven't a problem. When I was researching Ego/Tornados I found that TW had a better deal on the Tornado than the Ego did. With TW, I got 2 attys instead of one for the same price as the Ego with only 1 atty. I always get my orders in 2 days. They now have (at least they did) the LR attys for 7.99 which they do not guarantee but do give you 24 hr DOA. Their juice is a bit expensive but so is Halo's and others. I believe if you want to buy cheap then that is what you get.

You may have gotten an extra atty, but also a crappy slow charger and a much worse warranty. In the end, if you ever wanted a decent charger, more expensive.

I am not understanding the need for a "decent charger". A Tornado battery
goes dead, you put it on the "crappy slow charger", and use another
Tornado. By the time THAT one is used up, the "crappy slow charger" has
done the job.

If somebody only owns ONE Tornado, then they deserve all the grief coming
their way. That goes for getting only one crappy atty as well.

Personally I would prefer a faster charger to an extra atty, but that's just me.

So what happens to the Tornado that has charged up while the one you're
sucking on is still alive and kicking?

It's like people who race you to a red light. They get there ahead of you,
but what's the point?

Well, I do use more than one eGo at a time, and I don't see the point of using a slow wall charger that even needs an adapter when I can have a fast USB-Charger instead. And it's particularly odd that TW packs the set with the crappy 510 charger, and at the same time sells the faster USB-charger for extra cash.

And I don't think I have given you any reason to compare my vaping habits to people racing you to a red light. Not to mention that when I seriously chain-vape, my eGo is empty before the other battery is recharged in a 510 charger. Very rare, but happens.

Good that the difference are pointed out often so new users become aware of them. I was not aware of the differences when I got my TW. Guess I figured in a few months I'd be buying the next latest-greatest anyway, so what da hell. :D

I do now sometimes (not very often) vape two tornados at same time (bought another cone) which if both die approx same time leaves me with having to use a PT til 8 hr charge is done per.

Also: unaware of whether the quick charger becomes a bigger deal as these batteries wear down or not? Thought I heard others saying battery life ends rather fast (?).

IMO this is a moot complaint. They re-sell products, not manufacture them. How could they know the atty was bad or that the cart was dry? If they refused to give you a replacement atty on the other hand - that would be a different story.
The starter kits aren't wrapped in any plastic, they could easily open the box and test the atty's before sending them out. I know of a guy/company that does that with all of his products... tests them before he sends them out. I'm still new to the whole vaping scene and didn't know that getting broken products was the norm. I guess I'm just used to buying something that isn't broke... even online purchases. I realized a little too late that I could have worded my OP a little differently, and maybe ommited a statement or two, and apologize if I offended anyone, it's just how I felt at the time. I'm not used to paying for things that don't work, as I see some of you already are.

All Li-Io batteries die sooner or later, specs say 300 cycles, but the more densely a battery is packed, the less cycles, in practice. So far the eGo batteries are holding up well, but in the next few weeks or months we are bound to see postings about dying eGo batteries. So far, only the most dedicated early adopters have managed to vape a few down.

@KuiHiggins, of course stuff should work when it arrives. But it can happen with everything out there that it does not, and the question then is, how does a company handle that.
And I seriously doubt that your pal checks out every pre-filled cart he sends out … people would certainly object to sealed carts being opened, vaped, and then re-sealed.

Just received my first TW order. Just 901 empties and a 5-hole charger..Imagine my dismay to find a single wall charger instead of what I'd ordered. I made a call down there and the lady on the phone said she was shipping the 5-hole out with a label for me to return the single charger....Hope that all goes well....You know what they say about first impressions..........

Ok Fritchard, let's back up a little. There are very few on this forum who haven't felt a little dismayed by the high defect rate of this stuff, which is actually better than it used to be. And scanning the forum will also show that TW's problems and praises are consistent. Some folks do well with TW's customer service and others feel like they have to twist some nipples to get anything done. Not saying the OP wasn't overzealous, like one might expect from someone receiving a spilled bottle of expensive eliquid due to negligent packing, but his last post made a lot of sense to those who've submitted to the gamble of getting what they order. I think the violin wasn't necessary.

Hey, I didnt even bother to complain (except here!) because that look on the mailguys face handing the package over was priceless! LMAO :D

It just so happened I met him half way down driveway with a cooking utensil in one hand too....:D ...and I was his last stop!:D

Sorry to hear about that. Yes, first impressions are very important. That is why I was so upset, for my friend, because it was his first venture into the world of e-cigs. Imagine spending $87 and getting only one working atty and an empty prefilled cart... HIGH flavor, nonetheless. Stick with them though, it was an honest mistake and I'm glad they're taking care of it for you. They have really great products and some really super duper juices, although a little expensive.

Sorry, Alex, I should've been more specific. I meant he checks all of his atty's before he sends them out. I'm talking about Drew, over at nhaler.

Hey guys, Kui here. As you can see from my sig line I use a TW Tornado which I really love. I ordered 2 more kits for friends earlier in the week and they came the other day. My friend came over to my house to pick up his kit. I opened up his box and set up one of his Tornados. The atty that we used was DOA. On top of that, one of the pre-filled tobacco cartridges that they sent was completely dry, wrapped in the plastic still! WTF!

This is my first bad experience with them. I'm blown away! Totally Wicked = Totally Lame

I had a similar situation with my Tornado kit as well. I sent the bad items back in a padded envelope with a quick explanation of the problem and a copy of my order, four days later I had replacements sitting in my mail box. Their customer service has always come through for me and I hope you get the same.

Quick update. I received my order today which was placed Monday night after business hours. Very impressed with the shipping considering they are in Florida and I'm in Seattle. I opened everything up and the entire order is correct, including the color. I ordered the Titan 501 Mega kit, 2 additional mega batteries and 2 additional mega atomizers. I put all of the batteries on the charger and they all got charged within 2 hours. I checked each battery and all seem to be fine. I haven't used it yet because I accidentally left my juice at home :-( So far I have nothing but positive things to say about TW.

If the 510 charger, the one in the set, for which you need an adapter to even use it, does indeed charge your Tornardo battery in 2 hours, then probably your battery is broken.
Because if those chargers were as fast as the actual eGo/Tornardo chargers, why would those be sold seperately, and come with a warning not to charge stock 510 batteries in them?
