LOL Its amazing how far we have come from those crappy automatics, just to circle back to them. Granted this is would be a much better implementation than the airflow sensor. I guess I just find it ironic.

Just a thought, although this, if at all possible, would be nothing like an auto battery. With an auto batt you have to puff on it to get it started. With this idea, placing the drip tip to your lips would complete the circuit and turn the battery on. People have put touch switches in mods, just touch the switch to turn the batt on.

LOL I know. I would still consider it an auto, because it would come on the moment you touch it to your lips to vape, just a FAR superior implementation than the regular automatics. If someone does something like this, comes on when you touch your lips to it that is, and does it WELL, then I would think THAT would be patent-worthy...

You could build the sensor into the drip tip BUT you have to wire it into a controller and the Mosfet it would have to be an add on assembly that housed everything and would have to bypass whatever switch was in the unit so you really need a custom built mod for it .

FYI: I have no plans on patenting anything like this .

You could build a touch switch into a derlin/plastic drip tip. A pair of contacts, one on each side then when it touches your lips it will complete the circuit and turn on.

Edit:
you do need a MOSFET to make it work.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking. Maybe with leads coming out of the mod and plugged into the drip tip. Still not sure of the workability of such a critter. Still want to be a beta tester ;).
