How much 100 mg nicotine liquid would I have to add to 1000 ml of e juice to get about 12 mg per ml? Seems like it should be 120 ml, but just really don't know anything about it yet. thanks in advance

120mL of 100mg/mL nicotine base and 880mL PG/VG would give you 1000mg of 12mg/mL liquid.
I should have been able to figure that one out in my head but I put it on the juice calculator and came up with you did. But I will know next time for sure so I learned something and it's all good.

Mixing is fun and practical, but math isn't everybody's favorite subject. It's great to have a community and tools to help you make sure you're on the right track!

It was too early and not enough coffee to figure it out in my head especially since I wasn't sure I was on the right track anyway. I'd like to thank you all for your on going assistance, this place is so great. Seems like one week I'm saying, naw I don't want to do that and then read something here and get this crazy thought to maybe give it a try. I think the only thing I'll have to pass on is wrapping my own coils. three surgeries on my best thumb (the left one I'm a lefty) and arthritis in both hands. Guess that's what happens when you break digits hitting things you shouldn't walls, faces, assorted other body parts and one windshield on a drunken bet. won't do that again.
Have you downloaded one of the calculators for making e-juice? They will help you figure out everything you need. You can use the search function on ECF or give Google a go. You will be all set then.
If it's a first time/new recipe, I strongly suggest making a small sample (5-10ml) first. That way if you don't like it you won't have wasted a lot of supplies. Just my

When I start playing with flavors I will. I was just thinking make a large amount of flavorless in the PG/VG ratio I like then I can try flavors till I get the ratio right. I've heard of people making their PG/VG mix ahead of time and then adding flavoring. Sort of makes things easier.
