...Is it true that 1 drop of 100mg nic on the skin can take you out?

Unlikely for an adult that has nicotine tolerance. Get a drop in your eye and you may wish it would though. There is a lethal range and it is measured in mg/kg typically, so the bigger you are the more it takes and the reason to make sure pets and children are no where near the stuff.

I work with 100mg at my mixing table. Doesn't get hot enough in Indiana to make fumes any sort of issue so it's pretty straightforward for PPE and typical proceedures.

and let's say there are 15 drops per 1 mL since that's a pretty common measurement for a drop... that's 1/15(100mg)= 6.67 mg of nicotine, and even still it has to completely absorb into your skin for you to get that dose

Probably even less for most droppers. Mine average between 20-30 drops per ml, so maybe as low as 3-5 mg/drop.

I was going with 15 gtt (drops) per mL since that's a common IV tubing caliber in hospitals. Gotta relate it to something I know... lol. Good to know there's even less in typical droppers.

It's a lot of fun. I bet you will enjoy it if you get into it.

Just to be clear, I wouldn't go around suggesting that every noob is ready to work with higher concentrations of nicotine, but you seem to have a very good idea of what you are doing. You can do the math without a juice calculator (algebra), you researched the lethal dose of nicotine, and you worked in a lab handling dangerous chemicals. Not that those are prerequisites, but if you can do all that you should be plenty experienced to do it safely. It's not rocket science, but then again it's not making tuna casserole either. Somewhere in between.

Some people are gonna call me crazy or reckless, but here goes....I recently placed a first order of a 60 ML bottle of 100 mg NIC in VG base from RTS vapes (as well as other DIY stuff and other nic strengths.) NOT knowing that there is no "seal" under the cap, I opened each bottle because I wanted to look and smell inside them. There were no fumes in any of them, however, the 100mg nic has more tint and odor to it.
I filled a clear bottle half full of the 100 mg Nic and then the other half with straight VG (also from RTS).
Now, if my simple minded math is correct, that bottle I mixed 50/50 with 100 mg nic and VG is now a 50 mg nic base, correct? I'm confused about 100mg nic DIY stuff being possibly lethal? The nicotine is in a VG base to begin with.
The bottle label states this: 60 ML of 100 MG Nictoine liquid 10% Flavorless Nicotine mixed with Vegetable Glycerin USP Kosher
Does the label indicate that there is really only 10% nicotine in there and 90% of it is vg? or what am I missing here?
Thanks!

I DIY with 100mg nic. As stated elsewhere, that gives you a much larger range of PG/VG ratios available for your finished juice. When I get it, it gets opened initially, and poured into a smaller HDPE bottle with pierce-able stopper top. Gloves, goggles, Tyvek coat, and exhaust fan. The larger bottle gets wrapped in bubble-wrap, goes into a couple of ziplocks, and into the freezer.

I can then mix from the smaller bottle by piercing the rubber top with a syringe, and I never open that bottle of nic again (until it's empty). That nic is never open to the outside air. I could drop the bottle of nic onto concrete and still be quite safe.

There's been a lot of discussion about leeching, I use the HDPE bottles twice, then pitch them, they are cheap.
